Vivi totally has more of a chance than Baltheir. Though he probably needs to SSF Baltheir quite badly. Uh, you thought I meant that Balthier has a better chance than Vivi? I meant that Balthier's presence there will probably hold Vivi back a bit. Leon's gonna do quite the job to his end of the bracket. After two
screwjobs he'll be the cinderella of CB6, IMO. I think he'll even
survive what tiny bit of SFF he may get with Dante in the same pool as
his. L-Block is already a Cinderella. I mean, a Tetris block got nominated to compete in a "character" contest. If you want to do some damage on the leaderboard, you have to pick upsets. The only way I managed to get 29th in the best series ever was picking a semi-favorites bracket which included Castlevania > Halo, Warcraft > GTA, and (regretably) Mario Kart > Mega Man. Therefore, I decided that since Castlevania > Halo worked last time, I would ride that again. So I went ahead and put Alucard in Round 4, and picked a relative cookie cutter after that. Did I just screw myself over? Probably, but if it works, I could do damage. I was agreeing with you that Vivi still has a chance. But he'd need to
SSF Baltheir. So playing out similar to the first match, like you just

Well, I figure he outlasts Ganondorf in the division finals, which then
sets him up against Dante, Leon (perhaps Vivi, although Leon is the
favorite), and Chief. Three macho tough guys vs. the lone Nintendo
draw. I don't see it as a bad pick at all. The challenge is getting

Luigi isn't really a bad choice. It all depends on how much stock you
put into Dante's strength in this format. I wouldn't be shocked if

finishing ahead of him once. It's not terrible, though. But for the
quarterfinals, I've got Ganon and Luigi there as opposed to one or the

Likewise. He strikes me as a casual favorite who can instantly appeal
to anyone, especially people who don't care for his opponent. Against
three opponents, though? You have to have some kind of devoted base to

Speaking of my upset, what are the odds that Zero will do what KOS-MOS
(or Knuckles if you want to look at it that way) did? We've already
seen Vincent/Crono and they split pretty evenly suggesting that it will
be a much more Arthas/Diablo-like split. Can Zero make this year his
year to shine? Mega Man performing up to par today kind of disproves any of those whacky MM droppage issues, and without a Mario brother in the poll with Zero, I think he can do some damage. It's not that I don't think he will hold up, but I'm not automatically
giving him the edge over 3 other characters who are also pretty damn
popular just because he is statistically the strongest one in

| I really don't see Diablo as having a chance.
While his percentage has been jumping a bit around, he's still pretty
much always been 5-600 votes behind Warcraft Guy ever since the votes

| Eh, I don't see reason to doubt Dante. When a
character is more popular than his series, and that's all they have to
draw on (unlike in Samus's case where she has Smash), you've gotta

I wouldn't expect Zero to only suffer if it's against Mario characters.

will be left? I'm betting 3.5k perfects left, and a 40% prediction

But think about it. Zero resisted SFF against Mega Man.
He's a robot with a freaking laser sword. I think that out badasses a
green little fairy boy with a crappy steel sword and a pony any day. Basically I'm trying to say that Zero should be able to resist Link SFF better than Mega did. As for Mario and Luigi, Mario/Zero may have been legitimate, after seeing Mario tear through the rest of the bracket, and Luigi probably rode his 2-seed ala 2k5 Kirby with his 1-seed. Seriously I don't know what I was thinking when I did Dante > Ganon.
**** the rest of my pretty decent bracket, that came out of no where. I
don't even recall reasoning to myself there. I just figured "hey Dante

Weird question: In your own entry, what colors are used to highlight
your choices if the character moves on to the 2nd round but is in the
wrong position? It used to be that green = correct, red = wrong but

Like I said, Luigi had a 2-seed and looked dominant until he went up
against Sonic. We saw this at least once before in 2k5 Kirby's run and
arguably 2k5 Dante. Characters seem to perform much better than usual
when given high seedings. Hell, just look at Sora last year.
