Laharl is nothing. He is pretty much the epitome of an obscure cult
character with his hardcore fanbase backing him and little else going
for him. I think Nathan Hale has a better chance of winning, just
because we don't know crap about him. Sure he could be the next Tanner,
but we said that about Agent 47, and that was obviously not the case. This contest is made for weak characters with hardcore fanbases. Well for them to impress and over perform. --- It's a sad fact that you had to derail this topic because you are afraid of the power of the PS3 -- cade |

Continuing the Zolom discussion from the other topic. It would have
been nice if Zolom wasn't in the same match as Cloud. Just to see how

The whole point, or at least as I saw it was just because it'd be funny
to have Zolom in the contest. But it would have also worked as the test
to see if people really would vote for anything FFVII, as some people
have claimed before. I'm surprised he made it into this contest, was
the some kind of nomination rally this year, as I didn't see one? --- Ahem! There's LETTUCE on my boots! |

There was still plenty of board talk about him. With 128 characters,
it's not that big a surprise. I'd have been annoyed had he NOT made it
in. I'd have Vivi kicking ass if Balthier wasn't there later on in his most
crucial match... I don't think much of Balthier, but Vivi needed to be

| I wouldn't worry about Balthier cuz of Vaan doing badly. Vaan only did so badly cuz of SFF, plus nobody who played FF12 actually LIKED Vaan. Balthier is by far the most liked character |

Master Chief isn't really a sleeper pick. There are obvious reasons to have him going far. My sleeper pick would be either Pikachu or Zero.
