All I want is for L-Block to be the strongest joke character this
field. The reaction I had when I saw he made the bracket was the
greatest. Swift told me before I saw it and I was like "dude your

Eh, people on Board 8 didn't know who the hell 47 was (outside of
all the cool kids :D), and he still did respectably in the end. Yeah, but Hitman has a rather large casual support (seriously, people here didn't know 47?!), especially over the "kiddy disney lol" Sora, if they knew him in the first place. I always thought the neo-tanner cries when 47 was revealed were a bit off. Haseo, on the other hand...I walk up to 10 guys at school, all 10 of them will know of the Hitman series. I'm intrigued by Midna/Scorpion/Kratos Aurion/Agent 47. I've got Midna
> Scorpion and feel fairly confident about the pick if only for the
reason that Midna is Zelda property and that should be good enough to
get over a decent showing by Scorpion. However, where's all this love
for Kratos coming from? He placed decently in his lone contest showing,
but the sheer voting numbers for a well-known Scorpion and a Zelda:TP
fueled Midna should outweigh any hardcore fan base vote that Mr. Aurion

Zolom will probably get lowest, the joke is pretty much dead, and he's up against Cloud of all people. Zolom has massive board favouring, and pleny of FF7 fans hate cloud, meaning they're likely to migrate to old Zolomy. I don't see him getting the lowest. Watch joke characters like CATS and Zolom blossom in their matches.
Even if they don't get first, you'll clearly see that this contest

I think L-Block has more than a decent chance of getting 2nd. I'm quite
against joke characters doing well, but I'm having a tough time seeing
L-Block not advance. Nathan Hale stands absolutely no chance, though I
may be underestimating Laharl. But damn, for a "joke" character,
L-Block should get a hell of a lot of the casual vote, even with Kirby

Laharl is nothing. He is pretty much the epitome of an obscure cult
character with his hardcore fanbase backing him and little else going
for him. I think Nathan Hale has a better chance of winning, just
because we don't know crap about him. Sure he could be the next Tanner,
but we said that about Agent 47, and that was obviously not the case. --- Donkey Kong Country 2 for next Games contest. This line reserved for next Guru winner. Unless it's me, therefore reserving plenty of noms for Dixie/DKC2. |
