And great to see we have a barn-burner in the first match, which none
of us expected to be this close. This should be an exciting year. And
I'm not too
worried about MM > Knux, simply because there will be no Square
characters in the next round, so the Square fanboys will have to pick
someone else. Of the 4 in that round, I can see them shifting to Mega

If that was true, then Yoshi and Knuckles would be going 50-50 with Vaan and Rikku tied at 0% No. You may not believe this, but most Square fanboys find Rikku to be likable (even if they haven't played FF X/X-2), and the fanboys who like FF XII (or heard that FF XII is good) will find Vaan to be likable to a certain extent. Plus more often than not, these people will also avoid voting Nintendo or cute characters. I guess most of the matches will be popular. This one will get a lot
since it's so close between Knux and Rikku, while

Just looking at the poll updater and I see that Rikku made a few cuts

This match is by no means over. Rikku still has a big lead considering
that there are four characters in the match, and Rikku's come back was
also a very fast one. But yeah, considering that it's Rikku who is
falling and not Knuckles doing great, I consider Knuckles to be the
