Well, yeah, fanbase splits are a natural part of this contest format.
If you didn't expect that...well, I don't know what to tell you. The

i guess the pattern from 3d FF games is now set. first FF of a console starting from the ps has the stronger characters and the last FF title of a console will get the weaker guys --- Rufus shinra destroyed my bracket in the sc2k6 contest. |

actualy,x stats have knuckles way above yoshi 18 Knuckles 19 Zero 20 Magus 21 Luigi 22 Auron 23 Master Chief 24 Donkey Kong 25 Ryu 26 Tidus 27 Yoshi 2k5 x stats,since knuckles wasn't in 2k6. |

Whoa, another big spike for Knuckles there. Gained 26 on Rikku that
time. Yeah, looks like that infamous morning vote is showing itself

One more hour till my grandparents wake up. They don't play video games but i think they will like cute character. I will tell them to go to this website. Lets hope my grandparents will vote for Knuckles and help him turn the tide. |

| Indeed, Leonhart. I was expecting Rikku to be hurt
worse than Knuckles and Yoshi... but I shouldn't have thought that,
considering how weak Vaan is. We desperately need words to differentiate between fanbase splits (any match involving characters of the same fanbase) and fanbase splits actually messing with the proportions of those characters (i.e. Link/Ganondorf or Link/Yoshi) ... though currently in my mind, "SFF" itself can refer to any match involving characters of a fanbase of some sort, but when a character actually "gets SFFed" or "SFFs someone", it means the SFF becomes one-sided. Because if could get confusing... "Knuckles is being hurt by SFF!" "No way, Knuckles isn't being SFFed by Yoshi!" "No, I meant Knuckles is being hurt equally as much as Yoshi." --- "Ah, a party! We haven't had one of those. It could be fun! So...what is a party?" "Well, you drink punch and eat CAKE! ...I think." |

Oh, I knew Vaan was going to be weak. I wouldn't even take the guy to
beat Zidane one-on-one. I just didn't think Rikku would manage to avoid
being hurt by his presence enough to give Knuckles a fight. Yoshi

well, if Yoshi is hurting Knuckles this much, if he does win this
match, Mega Man > Knuckles still isn't too far from reality if you

Wake up to see Rikku with a 500 vote lead and Knuckles making a
comeback. Yoshi bled percent throughout the night, but seems to be
stablizing. Vaan is over 8% and is pushing for 9%. Come on Vaan get

Actually it's to early to say that Knuckles will "win" this, but at
least he's once again in the match. Now if the day vote won't help him,

Most people (especially ignorant casuals) will not consider Mega Man as
Nintendo, right? Only his kiddies image may get him some Nintendo

Oh wow, looks like Rikku finally took advantage of night vote and is
putting up a nice fight during these morning hours which Sonic
characters usually do so well in. I'm now starting to think the
afterschool vote has to be the thing that save Knuckles. Man thins contest is already off to an awesome start! :) Now time to get caught up with the rest of the topic. |

These are my very wild assumptions about GameFAQs Character Battle (don't quote me on this lulz): - Nintendo fanboys will vote over obvious Nintendo characters over anything. If it is not obvious (e.g. Tingle isn't that obvious), then they will find another cute/colourful/cartoony character to vote for. If there are two Nintendo characters, the most obvious one win most of Nintendo votes. - Square fanboys will only vote for Square character if the character is actually likable/addorable. Otherwise, they will just find another top notch/badass/popular character to vote for or not vote at all. If there are two Square characters, the most likable/popular one win most of Square votes. I think the morning vote is a bit delayed thanks to it being a holiday.
if so, Knuckles should be okay even though he's merely stalling here. given how he jumped out to a nice 300 vote lead during the first hour, I have a hard time picturing him not doing better than Rikku come the full-blown daytime. --- "where the heck does diablo get his votes from on weekends?
