Okay, if that's the case, forget what I said... But nevertheless, Ninja Gaiden Sigma did
draw a good amount of buzz amongst the PS3 fanbase. But like I said, it
won't matter much in this contest. It might have gotten Ryu a few more
votes in a one-on-one match... but I don't think the buzz would be
enough to make them want to vote Ryu over a choice of 3 other

Heh, I could see a lot of similar fanbases converging in that poll. We
have MGS vs. KH, and three characters who just radiate badassery.

Sales in Japan aren't going to do much for Hayabusa in this contest.
But it's besides the point, anyway, as Hayabusa is a long shot to
finish ahead of Riku. We have an extremely easy way to compare the two
- Riku did exactly 10% better on Yoshi than Hayabusa on Dante. Snake
and Vyse/Nightmare might make things interesting, but that's quite a

I don't know about Ryu H finishing first.. I don't think Roxas will
drain Riku bad enough for him to get down to Ryu's tier. Riku is quite

anyone ever thought that Snake/Yoshi MIGHT have been at least close to legit? I don't know where Samus' value comes from but.. if you put it around the 43% area, Yoshi's value actually makes SOME kind of sense if you put Dante in there as well. --- Network Premiere of: "GA All The Way." I see no reason to doubt that - look at Kirby 2k4. but for the sake of pretty numbers, and given Bowser last year, not to mention Frog... I'll stick with adjusting him off 2k5 Dante, which many people thought was already a generous number. --- scrumptious cats |

the picture doesn't seem so... wrong to me though. it seems that Yoshi
COULD overperform a bit but not to such a large extent. and something
just tells me Yoshi actually did score just about that much on Snake.

Most seem to say Dante > Leon, but then others say they're both
Capcom so they both probably won't be able to advance, especially
against two FF characters. Why is this point of advice being so
frequently overlooked? While I might note that it seems I am of the one or two making such an argument, I'm not giving up on this yet <_< I want to break this down to be simple, as it seems to me that any of the four characters could get first, and any character could get second (excepting, I think, Balthier/Vivi and vice versa). Vivi's advantage is his impressive performance against Sephiroth. If there is a character with a dedicated fanbase, it's probably Vivi, who I believe certainly has more appeal and development than MC. Depending on Balthier's actual strength, he might even cause some rSFF (not that it could be measured in this format). Dante is the strongest, likely, of the four. Balthier could be surprisingly up there, but I don't think he would surpass Auron, so that leaves little room, but perhaps enough. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but Leon is the only character on Nintendo consoles (2 of them), but all characters still have the same base in the PS2. He probably will rise from the last year, when Dante has no reason to. Other things about the match in general: there will be votes split between Leon and Dante. The games (and in a sense, the characters) are just too similar to deny this. The PS2 fans will have to choose one of them. Of the people who have a Gamecube/Wii and not a PS2 and know of/played RE4 (I have no idea how many voters this would be. RE fans would seem to be more likely to have a PS2, but I don't know), they will vote Leon. ___ *watches* o_o |

"Capcom SFF" doesn't make mush sense to me, but I could see them
splitting votes just because they're similar archetypes from popular
new action games. Dante and Kratos would do the same thing, so it's not

Leon > Dante is actually a decent upset pick, although some could
say that Leon would actually get a tad more casual support with the

Sonic - 42.19 Mega Man - 41.89 Crono - 41.54 Vincent - 40.43 That's unadjusted and makes a hell of a lot more sense than the trannyjusted numbers. well, demographics do change, so I guess we may as well accept Yoshi AT

that was Leon's big problem with my numbers - not accounting for "SFF" or a stronger Squall. but then, I ask: who would you use instead? those stats are majorly hacked, as the description below shows. there's not a lot of options. --- "There's "Awesome," then a few more notches up there is "Amazing," go a few more up and there's "Impeccable." Looking at Ngamer's x-stats again, it looks like to me he just set
