Master Chief is going to be THE argument over the next month.. and rightfully so. to be honest, I don't even think MC needs
Halo 3. this isn't some crazy boost. this is casual games doing
fantastic in multi-option polls. go look at GTA. go look at Halo. this
is just the format that they thrive in. Kratos is going to do well.
Master Chief is going to do well. Vercetti will probably even do better
than expected. MC advancing shouldn't really be a question until round 3, and then literally ANYTHING can happen. --- xexyz |

Yes, but I'm one of the many who think that certain people are
giving the next Halo game way too much credit. This is Halo 3, not Halo
1. I think that's a good thing, particularly because there is more "acceptance" now for the 360 than there ever really was for the Xbox. Doesn't hurt that nearly half the site, according to the polls, would own a 360 and Halo 3 at some point in the near future. --- Believe |

I think people are underestimating Kratos here. If you look at the
bracket, even 2k6 Kratos has a very good chance of making it past
Kirby. Throw in GoW2 and you have a pretty safe bet he's going with
Snake to the quarters. I also find it hilarious how people are going to overestimate Scorpion because they got burned last year. Frog will not be losing to him. No way he's fallen THAT far. | LOL, this year contest bracket are extremely unfair. All of the past contest winners(Clinkothiomus) plus Crono and Megaman are in the first four division. It looks to me that the bracket maker is a Snake and Sonic fan and he wants the final match to be Link,Cloud,Sonic and Snake. |

| ToS is still strong, as shown by Sheena. She was
stronger than Lloyd and about equal with Kratos. Some popular games
have characters that nobody cares about. I believe Fenix maybe one such

Frog will not be losing to him. No way he's fallen THAT far. as if it matters. they're moderately close. That's another thing I don't get, how everybody here is completely
disregarding Fenix. Have any of you people even PLAYED Gears? Fenix is
a badass, and just the type of character the casual voters would eat

Actually, I was talking about Scorpion there. No way Frog's fallen low enough to lose to that scrub. You could make an argument for Axel, but it seems as though it's a shaky one at best. Chief's SFF immunity helps him here. Also, I still can't see Fenix

I still wouldn't count on him having a super-hardcore fanbase on
Gfaqs. Eh, I still don't think he'll get past round 2 unless Halo 3 is
out by then. Even though HM touched on it, I have to chime in, too. He does have a really hardcore base, and that's shown every time anything Halo related hits daylight. Scorpion doesn't stand a chance. Actually he does, but not a very good
one. Unlike Sub-Zero, he had no reason to boost, and Kratos> his
last performance... It will be close, but I have Kratos winning out.

The biggest possible irregularity I can think of is the
Vincent/Zelda/Link match. This is the first time we're seeing Zelda in
a match with Link's picture...she could definitely benefit from that. Ha, it would be nice, wouldn't it? What I'm hoping for (as a huge Zelda fanboy) is that she's simply more sff resistant than Ganondorf was. He completely collapsed, but just maybe she won't. Brawl is one of the biggest hyped games on the site, and he's in the
trailer everybody's seen. I can't see Peach actually draining votes

Alright. I suppose it's time for my own little analysis to begin. Division 1: Knuckles Rikku Vaan Yoshi I'm really interested in seeing how Vaan will fair against Rikku honestly. Yoshi has this one in the bag however. Knuckles will do nicely and get second place, you betta believe it. Something about that favorite Final Fantasy poll doesn't stir right with me though...same for Rikku's stats. Still, she'll probably manage to SFF Vaan and I'm just speaking crazy talk. Winners: Yoshi, Knuckles. Arthas Diablo KOS-MOS Mega Man Ok first off, **** you token Warcraft filler. Come on, Tron Bonne or Pious could of totally took this spot >_> Mega Man is gonna dominate these hos pretty good. I'm curious to see how KOS-MOS and Diablo go after second place, but something tells me Diablo will make sure KOS-MOS fails here. Winners: Mega Man, Diablo Axel Frog Samus Kerrigan lol Kerrigan. Nuff said. Samus is going to dominate and show just how great MP3 can be for her, Axel actually kind of has a chance to shine here if people think Chrono Trigger decline is THAT bad. But nah, Frog will more than likely stick through this just fine. Winner: Samus, Frog Agent 47 Kratos Aurion Midna Scorpion I’m really pissed ToS characters once again made this damn bracket, but you know what, whatever. Midna’s gonna have a chance to destroy these hos, and that’s all I care about. Logic tells me Scorpion will be able to claw his way to second place here. Agent 47 is cool but I see him in last place actually. Winners: Midna, Scorpion Yoshi Knuckles Mega Man Diablo I look forward to this match. Diablo looks certain to be in 4th place, but one can only wonder how Knuckles can do against Yoshi? Yoshi will more than likely beat him, but I was just reminded of how badly Luigi did against Sonic last year by Draco a second ago, so yeah...oh right, Mega Man still powers through and shows he's not gonna be the one to make the Noble Nine fall anytime soon. Winners: Mega Man, Yoshi Samus Frog Midna Scorpion Oh my god I love this fourpack. Scorpion is gonna get jacked up of course and Samus is gonna make these *****es look like mincemeat of course, so the real story here is Midna/Frog. We all know Samus can't handle SFF too well so Midna doesn't have much to worry about there. Can she handle Frog however? I’m pretty sure she’ll be able to beat him. I love both characters a lot, but I’m putting my faith in Midna right now, considering how well Twilight Princess is doing. Winners: Samus, Midna Mega Man Yoshi Samus Midna This is where Midna and Yoshi’s luck runs out. Mega Man and Samus are just going to dominate this poll. Samus will of course win because of Metroid Prime 3. Overall I like this division a lot. It looks to answer a few questions. Kratos A vs. Agent 47 vs. Midna vs. Scorpion is killing me Scorpion I know will be one winner in that pack, Agent 47 is the weakest so he's out. It's between Kratos A and Midna. Rounds 4 - final) Samus Mega Man Bowser Cloud ...holy ****. Samus over Mega Man seems natural.. but what if Bowser sucks some Samus votes away? Mega Man SFFed Yoshi pretty good, too. this is such a tossup right here. I think I might go with Mega Man taking second behind Cloud. that's a total tossup. but in the end, I bet Samus gets 90% of the brackets here because of MP3 + any kind of Brawl hype. Sephiroth Mario Link Crono hey, it's a noble nine slugfest. Link probably SFFs Mario a bit here, and Sephiroth will hurt Crono enough to make him a non-factor. pretty obvious result from a heavyweight match. Luigi (Ganondorf?) Master Chief (Yuna?) Leon (Balthier?) Dante (Vivi?) yeah, who knows what this match will even be. I like Master Chief finishing second due to his crazy fanbase, and I think Leon is a nice first place pick. this is a gut pick match though, just like the one before it. Snake Kirby (Kratos?) Sonic Squall (Sora/Aeris?) give me the nobles. I wonder if Sonic has a chance of coming in first, though - Kirby sucking away any SSB votes (literally), and Squall taking some of those PS1 votes. Cloud Mega Man / Samus Link Sephiroth Clinkeroth + a noble niner. yeah, Clink ends up with this, and it won't be close. Cloud and Seph split votes far more than Link and MM/Samus will. whoever the fourth is here will look pretty bad. Leon/Dante Master Chief/Luigi Snake Sonic god knows who the other two will be here, but Snake and Sonic once again take it with ease. again, I could see Sonic finishing first here. Division 2 Kefka Marcus Fenix Tom Nook Zelos Wilder Could you round up a more random fourpack to begin a division? I think not. This is a good way to taste Marcus’ strength I suppose they. Something tells me this has potential for a Kefka/Vercetii moment though, with Nook and Zelos not getting many votes of course. Right now I’ve got Marcus > Kefka though and that sounds pretty decent. Winners: Marcus, Kefka Cloud Strife Jill Valentine Midgar Zolom Revolver Ocelot Haha, should have put Zolom in with Sephiroth, but it works with Cloud too. My next door neighbor happens to be banking on Ocelot taking second place here, but I favor Jill Valentine simply because I believe Peach > Pac-Man. Then again there is a little thing called MGS4. I might change it, but right now I have Jill taking second place. Winners: Cloud, Jill Auron Chris Redfield Pyramid Head Shadow the Hedgehog Yay for Pyramid Head! Boo for Shadow returning! Ok yeah this is a pretty obvious match though. I'd be shocked if Shadow could outdo Auron here. I guess it's kind of interesting to see if Pyramid Head can SFF a member of his own genre. Winners: Auron, Shadow Bowser Mewtwo Ryu SF Toad I don't give a damn bout Toad, but Mewtwo sort of got screwed here. But hey, you know what, that's what happens when like 4 or 5 Pokemon make the same damn bracket I guess. Toad is gonna job so hard here. I'm curious to see how far the duel of Bowser and Ryu can go, considering they have Auron and Shadow next round. Sure Bowser’s a lock, but I know there are plenty of Auron and Shadow supporters on this site. Winners: Bowser, Ryu SF Marcus Kefka Cloud Jill This is the end of the line for Marcus and Kefka. Jill will just kind of ride Cloud’s coat tails. If Ocelot makes it instead of Jill, expect the same result. Winners: Cloud, Jill Auron Shadow Bowser Ryu SF Auron/Shadow/Ryu has potential to be quite a Triple Threat. I’ve got faith in Ryu pulling through however. I might change it, I might not, but something tells me Ryu > Auron > Shadow is a good line of thinking. And of course Bowser will make them look like jokes. Then again there is that thing called Shadow/Mario that makes me uneasy at this match. Hmm… Winners: Bowser, Ryu Cloud Jill Bowser Ryu SF Jill FINALLY jobs and jobs hard. Can Ryu withstand the onslaught of Bowser and Cloud and not get doubled?! Probably not this time!
