Division 4 Agent J Bidoof Link Miles Edgeworth UGH! Link will DESTROY this match SO HARD. As for second, Bidoof just might make it on joke votes alone (we all saw what Nidoran F "did" to Samus last year). I have to take Bidoof here since I don't think SFF works on joke characters. Miles 'Tails' Prower The Boss Vincent Valentine Zelda Zelda and Vince get the bye, but who will come out on top? This has been debated over the offseason, and I think Zelda just might have what it takes to win this one. Crono Sam Fisher Simon Belmont Raiden Crono and Raiden guarenteed. This will be interesting only to see where (if anywhere) Raiden stands, and if he poses a threat to Zero in the next round. HK-47 Lloyd Irving Jak Zero Nice to see Zero stomping in some faces for a change. As for second place......... I guess Jak, if only on name recognition/casual votes alone Link Bidoof Zelda Vincent Poor Zelda will get a severe beating here. Will be interesting to see how she compares to Ganon against Link. Link/Vince move on. Crono Raiden Zero Jak Crono/Zero is the safe bet, and the only thing I can think of to stop that is if Raiden is announced as playable in Brawl Link Vincent Crono Zero Most people will go with the Noble Nine here, or take Vincent in the upset, but I'm going to take this oppurtunity to pick an unlikely upset in Zero. Think about it, Vincent and Crono went nearly toe to toe in 2k5. That effectively splits their power in half, and unless we see more fishy Nintendo/Mega Man SFF, Zero has a realistic shot at this. I don't see how anyone can pick Scorpion over Midna. Zelda > Mortal
Kombat and if you make Scorpion analogous with Sub-Zero by the
reasoning that lesser characters from the same series are akin to their
more famous counter-parts albeit a bit weaker, making Midna analogous
with Zelda still makes her > scorpion. m i doin it rite? <_< --- ¬_¬ |

Div 6: (yeah **** this divison) Dante Little Mac Matt or Mac, still can't decide, so I'm not posting a big analysis of this one yet. Ada Jade I hate this four pack. I really do. I just don't know. Tidus Pikachu Pikachu may get the antivotes, but I think the mouse has enough spark to get by. Leon Ridley Yay a fairly easy one. Dante Ada *smacks SBAllen* Leon Tidus Fairly simple, may be close with Ridley, but I think it's given. Freeman definitely wins there. Ike vs. Duke could be interesting
though. Duke has nowhere to go but down since the last contest, and Ike
should have a little strength (plus he's the only Nintendo character
there). Plus, look at what Felix did to Master Chief...and Ike could

Luigi Mudkip Pit Tingle haha. Mudkip. if anonymous gets behind Mudkip, we're going to be seeing some scary things. it's a LOT easier to fix a four-way poll than a two-way one. same goes for Arthas should he get that support. give me Mudkip finishing second here - no way Tingle does it, and Pit's just a few months too early. Mudkip is a far wider-spread joke than Bidoof. Ganondorf Ratchet Thrall Vergil Ganondorf and.. uh, Ratchet? the second of the four characters here confuses me. I'll probably have to defer to people who know the characters better and follow the wave here. Master Chief PaRappa Tommy Vercetti Yuna Master Chief's gonna be a treat to watch. Vercetti will do better than expected, but he still doesn't touch Yuna, who finishes second. actually, she has an outside chance of finishing first, but I wouldn't bet on it. Alucard Liquid Snake Ness Zidane Tribal cute fourpack here. Zidane gets a match with no other Square characters, Liquid Snake gets a shot at redemption, Alucard's got that Xbox/PS3 support and Ness has nothing Nintendo to mess with him. I bet Alucard/Ness ends up being the consensus here, but don't count out Liquid Snake or Zidane. Alucard's the only one I'm confident in here. this could go any which way. Luigi Ganondorf Mudkip Ratchet/Vergil/Thrall normally this Nintendo twosome would be in trouble, but I can't see Mudkip or the other threesome giving Luigi or Ganondorf much trouble here. the only outside chance here is Mudkip getting anonymous'd, and that's not something I'm going to bet on. Master Chief Yuna Alucard Ness (Liquid Snake? Zidane?) MC definitely survives this fourpack. Yuna almost definitely does, unless Alucard grows significantly and Yuna regresses. both are possible. Luigi Ganondorf Master Chief Yuna I wrote about this in the last topic. to me, this is THE matchup of the contest. you can make arguments all over the place. going on sheer strength: Ganondorf > Luigi > Yuna > Master Chief unfortunately for the Nintendo guys, they're going to suck up each other's votes, and Ganondorf has proven to be awful with SFF before. then you've got Master Chief who's the ultimate character in a contest like this, and Yuna being the lone Square character. this could go ANY WHICH WAY. --- xexyz |

Div 7: Kirby L-Block I love how L-Block could and hopefully will advance. I'm on the bandwagon and can't resist. Kratos DK Donkey Kong DK Donkey Kong is here Marth is still too weak in my eyes. Snake Vyse Also simple enough. Ryu H Riku Ordering is up in the air. Kirby Kratos Ordering is a big issue here. I'll probably end up with Kratos on top with DK SFF present. Snake Ryu H I hate this one. Riku and Vyse will be in the hunt. Snake Kirby Still could put Kratos in. Yeah this is a sick division. Division 5 Luigi Mudkip Pit Tingle Wow @ 4 Nintendo characters. Okay, process of elimination. Luigi wins, lol tingle, which leaves Pit vs Mudkip. .... ........ UGHHHHHHHHH Pit supporters are banking on his SSB:B appearance (a good month and a half before the game will even be out) to pull him through, but Mudkip has a very popular internet fad, and the mindless tools over at 4chan to support him. RAHGAHGJDHGSJGHJSDHGJ Ganondorf Ratchet Thrall Vergil Once again, Thrall but no Illdan? wtf is this? This could be a good one, since WoW's popularity might just put Thrall over Vergil. Ganon > Thrall is my pick Master Chief PaRappa Tommy Vercetti Yuna Here we get to see The Chief shine, in what will probably be his last match before Halo 3. Chief > Yuna Alucard Liquid Snake Ness Zidane Tribal This may be the hardest first round match yet. You could make a strong case for any of these characters. Personally, I'm backing Alucard/Ness though I admit this one could go any which way. Luigi Ganondorf Thrall Luigi and Ganon go on despite what could be an ugly SFF affair. Master Chief Yuna the other 2 Chief and Yuna walk out of this one, but this time it should be after Halo 3. If Chief doesn't beat her the first time, he will here. Luigi Ganondorf Master Chief Yuna This is an icky one that will be decided after the second round. Specifically to see how Luigi/Ganon affect eachother. Div 5 R1: I agree with tran about Mudkip. Pit is just a bit too fresh to take #2. Nothing else too bad until the last group, which is evil. Alucard takes it, but #2 is up in the air. R2: Nothing too bad here. R3: This should be interesting. Chief has a good chance thanks to Ganon/Luigi messing with each other. Yuna also has a good shot as well. Division 4 Group 1 - Link slaughters the division. I mentioned Bidoof taking it if people recognize him as a Pokemon. But Edgeworth has a chance at least. Group 2 - Vincent and Zelda take this easily. Group 3 - Crono slaughters this division with Raiden taking up second. Raiden definitely will have enough hardcore fans to outlast Fisher and Simon Belmont. Group 4 - YES! Zero gets redemption for a horrible matchup last year and massacres this group. The rest of this division sucks. Not only are they all weak as hell, but none of them are even relevant at the moment. I mean at least Ratchet has an upcoming game announced for this gen. Ugh. Zero is going to look really good in this division. I can't even choose between the other three. That's sad. Uhhh, uhhh, uhhhh, screw it. HK-47. Later rounds - Link's presence destroys Zelda/Vincent potential. Zero shouldn't have too much trouble beating out Raiden to join Crono. Final Rounds: Cloud Samus I don't think MM will do it. Bowser gets crapped on here. Link Sephiroth OK who called for a Link/Mario/Sephy/Crono 4 pack. I think Link will SFF Mario to hell and Sephy makes up for the gap unlike the previous matchup between the two. Ganondorf Dante I just don't like Yuna and Leon here. After the last 4 pack this is stale. Sonic Snake 2 NNers but Sonic is still supreme. Division 6 Amaterasu Dante Little Mac Matt (Wii Sports) Ama-what? Dante walks away with this, leaving the 2 Nintendo boxers to duke it out. Have a feeling Matt might take this though based solely on Wii bandwagoning. I know the nomination drive had some support over at LL, that could help him. Ada Wong Balthier Bunansa Frank West Jade Curtiss Sexcellent, Balthier makes his contest debut by beating on fodder. As popular as Dead Rising was, I can't see this going anywhere but Balthier > Ada Isaac Pikachu Serge Tidus Here's another icky match. Does Pika ride the Nintendo wave to a win over that piece of crap from FFX? Sadly (or is it?) I think not. Teedus > the yellow rat. I wish we could just eliminate this entire disgrace of a fourpack. Leon Kennedy Ridley Spyro the Dragon Vivi Ornitier Had Ridley not been in the Villain Contest, I'd have taken him #2 to Leon's #1, but Ridley had been in the VC, and got beat in the first round. Leon > Vivi as the little black mage that could returns from haitus in style. Dante Matt Balthier Ada Dante > Balthier, though it will be interesting to see how the sky pirate stacks up to actual competition Teedus Pikachu Leon Vivi Ouch @ the fact that Pikachu might just advance here. Hopefully Vivi can get on the extremely good side of Final Fantasy SFF here (being an iconic Black Mage doesn't hurt). Second place can go any which way here. I'll go with Vivi, because despite the fact that he's from FF9, he's the character I would most like to see advance to the next round of the 3. Division 7 Kirby L-Block Laharl Nathan Hale Never did I imagine we'd see the day where the L Tetris block had a realistic chance of advancing. Well, here it is. Laharl is from probably the most obscure game featured in these contests (aside from lol shadow hearts) and Nathan Hale is from a mediocre PS3 launch title. I think the sheer joke vote will be enough to secure second for the L-block. Match pick should be a hoot. jDonkey Kong Kratos Marth Prince of All Cosmos We'll finally get to see the effect of God of War 2 as Kratos gets to beat on a weakened DK. Good stuff. Nightmare Rayman Solid Snake Vyse Vyse and Rayman...... ugh. During the nomination rally, I was critical of Nightmare's chances of winning a match. I suppose I should take that back now. Haseo Riku Roxas Ryu Hayabusa The original ninja should have no trouble with this, especially due to KH split. And I think Riku is the safe bet to come out on top of that one. Kirby L-block DK Kratos Kratos has this in the bag, especially due to Kirby/DK beating on eachother. And knowing DK's penchant for choking, Kirby is the safe bet for second. Snake Nightmare Ryu H Riku Riku might finally have a chance to prove himself here. He impressed me last year, and I think he has what it takes to take down Ryu. Kratos Kirby Snake Riku Call it overrating, but due to Snake being Nintendo now, I think this will be Snake and Kratos moving on. He wouldn't even NEED his GoW2 boost to take this. It's a fodder division, so it's not a surprise that all the best matches are fodder. Matt/Ammy/Mac - I suppose any of the three could take this. Matt might have the best shot, but I really don't know... Frank/Ada - Meh, Ada's weakness last year is enough for me to take Frank. Dead Rising's pretty popular, and Frank's pretty loved as a main character. Serge/Pikachu - Square SFF and Nintendo SFF are both affecting these guys. I think Serge is stronger to start with, so I'm taking him...but I suppose Pikachu might be able to do it. Tidus/Vivi/Leon - Leon > Tidus > the rest. Fenix will bomb, and bomb badly. Zelos has the ToS fanbase behind him,
which may only make up for c.25000 votes, but when you consider that
the match is a four-way, Fenix=OWNED. However, Nook will come last no

Div 6 R1: Funny enough, nothing worth too much debate here. R2: Again, nothing too bad. Vivi > Tidus for #2 likely. R3: If Bathier is looking good, then he could knock out Leon. All right, I've found the bracket here, and I haven't looked at
anything on the board to spoil me. I want to be surprised as to
everything I see. And I'll post my impressions as I go. Ahh, it's a 128 character contest, a Fatal Fourway with two characters moving on every round. So...is it four characters EVERY round or just the first round? Not sure on that. First Division Holy crap, awesome first match. Knuckles, Rikku, Vaan, and Yoshi? Knuckles and Yoshi advance to be sure while Rikku and Vaan SFF each other. Knuckles is the SQUARE KILLER, and he gets a two-for-one to make up for last year! Wait, I have to decide who WINS this poll and who finishes second? Well, if Yoshi can win a favorite Mario character poll, I reckon he can win this one. But Knuckles DID win the favorite Sonic character poll. Second match: Arthas, Diablo, KOS-MOS, and Mega Man? Mega Man wins easily. Hmmm...Two Blizzard characters? I'll take KOS-MOS for the upset there. Third match: Axel, Frog, Samus, and Kerrigan? So Samus is in. Wonder if Clinkeroth is in. Hmmm...Seems like an obvious victory for Samus and Frog. I wonder how low Kerrigan will go! Fourth match: Agent 47, Kratos Aurion, Midna, and Scorpion? Ahh, there's Midna, and she's given a poll where she can easily advance. Scorpion could threaten though, but when in doubt, choose Zelda. Second Division First match: Kefka, Marcus Fenix, Tom Nook, and Zelos Wilder? Wow, I didn't think Kefka would get a fourway poll he could WIN. Second match: Cloud Strife, Jill Valentine, the...Midgar Zolom?! And Revolver Ocelot? Whoa! Poor Zolomy though. Cloud will wreck him badly. Third match: Auron, Chris Redfield, Pyramid Head, and Shadow the Hedgehog? Shadow returns, eh? He'll get second, Auron wins. Fourth match: Bowser, Mewtwo, Ryu, and Toad? Poor Mewtwo, wins the rally and gets stuck in triple Nintendo SFF. Bowser wins, and Ryu gets by on principle. Third Division First match: CATS, Meta-Knight, Peach, and Sephiroth? Pretty straightforward: Sephy and Peach. Second match: Banjo, Captain Falcon, Fox McCloud, and Wario? Super Smash Brothers ahoy! See ya later, Banjo. Third match: Big Boss, Mario, Pac-Man, and Wander? Mario will make what Yoshi and Luigi did to Pac-Man seem like a joke. Big Boss advances past the first round! Huzzah! Fourth match: Bomberman, Crash Bandicoot, Phoenix Wright, and Magus? Bomberman is back! And he might get past the first round!
