Just saw the bracket. Ouch. The SFF massively complicates this. I
expect the person who finishes first will have a pretty terrible score

okay, one division at a time! Division 1 Knuckles the Echidna Rikku Vaan Yoshi Yoshi and Knuckles probably take this.. but don't count Rikku out. being the lone Square character when your main competition are platforming characters is a definite advantage for her. I could see her sneaking in and taking second, but it's an upset pick. Arthas Menethil Diablo KOS-MOS Mega Man two Warcraft characters. Diablo probably beats KOS straight-up, but does KOS have enough to hold them off in this format? plus, she's a hot chick. can't hurt! Axel Frog Samus Aran Sarah Kerrigan Axel and Frog competing for second here. Frog probably takes it since his game dominates Axel's. WHY IS KERRIGAN IN HER THIRD CONTEST Agent 47 Kratos Aurion Midna Scorpion Midna and Scorpion seem obvious to me here, though I think Kratos Aurion can make a run at second because of the format. Tales has a nice little niche here, and a format like this can only help characters like that. Knuckles Yoshi (Rikku?) Mega Man KOS-MOS (Diablo?) this is a battle between Yoshi and Knuckles. MM clearly takes first, but does he SFF Yoshi enough to let Knuckles slip by? Frog Samus Midna Scorpion this looks like Midna's division to lose, as far as second goes. will Samus steal her votes away? if so, Scorpion could sneak in and take second.. or maybe Frog can. second place is really up in the air here. Samus Mega Man two characters that don't matter ..yeah. this is a pretty cool setup, with MM and Samus finally doing battle. (WHAT'S UP KAY AITCH). don't forget that MP3 will be out. --- xexyz |

Division 1 Group 1 - Knuckles and Yoshi are definitely too strong for Rikku to be a threat to either one. Maybe if there were a midcarder like Donkey Kong or Fox who Yoshi would SFF, then Rikku would be a threat... Vaan has no chance. Group 2 - Mega Man ruins this division. It would have been cool for a 4th character in the same range to be in there instead to have a complete free-for-all. But now there are 3 spots for 2, and Diablo is probably the favorite there. Although, then again, with Mega Man there to take the casual vote, Diablo doesn't get automatic votes just for looking cool or anything. With Mega Man taking so many votes, it probably will be the one with the most hardcore fans taking it. Gotta go with KOS-MOS. I definitely don't believe in "Blizzard SFF"... I just think KOS-MOS has more hardcore fans than either of those two. Group 3 - This division is pretty much a battle for 2nd between Axel and Frog. I say that because Samus is taking the majority of the votes, especially with MP3 on the way. That means there will be few votes to split between everyone else. Who has more hardcore fans? I think the Chrono Trigger fanbase pulls Frog through though. Group 4 - Shouldn't be too difficult. Midna pulls the Nintendo vote out of there. Scorpion is probably the strongest character there, although he won't necessarily win since Agent 47 and Kratos probably would pull a lot of the votes that he would have had against Midna solo. Midna definitely doesn't lose as many votes to those guys since she has the Zelda fanbase backing her. But yeah, those two easily take this. Later rounds - Knuckles and Yoshi battle for the slot alongside Mega Man. Or do they have enough hardcore fans between them to take down Mega Man????? (Doubt it) Midna gets a chance to prove herself in the second round. Being against Samus won't hurt since she will suck some SFF from her <_<; The final is a dud unless something wonky happens in the trio of Yoshi/Knux, Samus, and Mega Man trio... --- Currently playing: Guitar Hero 2, Gears of War, Saint's Row, SotN (XBLA), Burnout Revenge |

The thing about Axel/Frog is that, even though CT is by far bigger,
Kingdom Hearts is no slouch and has pretty strong unilateral support
for its characters. Remember Kairi doing okay last year? Kingdom Hearts
fans might support their characters over anyone, who knows? I don't think Mega will be able to SFF Yoshi into the floor. That sff was harsh, but it wasn't that brutal, was it? Toughest parts of Div 1 for me are KOS-MOS/Diablo for #2 and
Midna/Scorp in the first round. Not really sure where to lean in the
first match. I think Diablo is stronger 1v1, but KOS-MOS could pull it
out in this kind of format. As for Midna/Scorp, I'm mostly banking on
TP strength for Midna to take #1. Poor Yoshi gets SFFed by Mega Man in the next round, that makes me sad. Frog/Midna/Scorp should be interesting for #2 as well. MM/Samus own Round 3. --- Moltar Status: Eagerly awaiting the bracket! The Analysis Crew...believe |
