I think a lot of people who voted "Wiimote + Nunchuck" voted "I
don't like FPS" the day before. I mean, how many FPS are there for the
Wii yet? And I can totally imagine Nintendo fans voting for Wii +
Nunchuck without having played a Wii FPS yet. Surprisingly enough, Red Steel is a pretty decent FPS believe it or not. Nothing grand, but decent. Surprisingly enough, Red Steel is a pretty decent FPS believe it or

FPSes on the map supposedly. So we'll see. I was thinking about Red Steel, but it got really bad reviews so I figured it wasn't anything big. Greetings all! Hope you've all been well. Wow, I had forgotten how long these things were and how fast they move. Anyone care to give a few sentence summary of the off-season discussion? Anything of interest? And what's the hot nomination bandwagons this year? I've still got a few spots left. With the huge break this contest should be very unpredictable. Joke nomination this year is Matt the Mii from Wii Sports. Think it will be a breakout year for Kratos, and maybe Master Chief if the contest runs late enough. And if you would support Protoman, I would be grateful. As for off-season discussion, most of it centers around Kratos, Mega Man and the near-elites (Ganon, Zelda, Tifa, Vincent etc). Some talk about Midna and Balthier as potential midcarders, and where Marcus Fenix will stand assuming he gets in. I don't think there's any real worry for Master Chief insofar as the
contest length. Assuming the contest starts September 1st, Halo 3 would
be out before the end of the first round was finished, in a

Yeah, Master Chief would have to get another unlucky draw and be placed
toward the beginning of the round to be eliminated before Halo 3 comes
out. It could
happen, but the Chief usually gets enough nominations to draw a
beatable scrub in the first round. He just happened to get a horribly

I suppose it's a good thing Ike was revealed on the day of nominations
instead of the Pokemon Trainer. Otherwise, we could be looking at 4 or

Well, Pikachu is already confirmed, and I don't see Nintendo getting
rid of anyone who was in the original SSB, so Jigglypuff is probably
in. Mewtwo probably has a very good chance of getting in, though I hope
Pichu is done away with as a character. They can keep him around as a
Pokeball or something. I think it'd be neat if Nintendo brought back all of the characters that don't rejoin the cast as Assist Trophies, now that I think about it. --- Nominate Serge. |

I don't see what's the big deal. If they want to add characters that
are Pokemon, no big deal. I don't see more characters to play with as a
bad
thing, no matter what game they come from. It's not like they are going
completely overboard and putting 10-15 Pokemon as playable characters.
I'd complain more about something like characters being clones more

I'm pretty sure there will be more than 25 characters in Brawl. It's
not like they are taking characters away and replacing them with
Pokemon. If they want to throw in extra Pokemon, by all means go ahead

There are already 18 confirmed characters for Brawl as it is (19, if
you want to count Peach, who has been seen but technically not confirmed),
and we already know that there will be a great deal of returning
characters who have yet to be announced (Luigi, Ganondorf, Ness,
Captain Falcon). There will be way more than 25 characters for this

We already have 18 characters (7 newcomers) confirmed and that's
without two thirds of the Melee cast! I wouldn't worry about there

that's 18. I count Samus and Zero Suit separately since they'll play so
differently. Sheik and Ganondorf were also mentioned in an interview with Aonuma a week or two ago. So that'd bring it up to 20, if you count Sheik as separate from Zelda. --- Rapid analysis, accurate judgment, and superb powers of concentration. That is all we need. |

Winning the character battle in the name of a daughter named Rydia
has got to be the best cause I have ever heard. I have to say for once
i honestly hope someone besides me wins the battle contest. This is one of the coolest posts I have ever read! Rydia is smiling right now :) Course she is only 20 months old so she smiles like all the time.
