I already told this to NGamer, but I forgot about Wario and didn't
nominate him. And I don't know anybody who cares about GameFAQs enough

This would lead me to believe that not only does Halo get hate votes from the typical voters here, but that it compels people who normally don't vote to vote negatively. Those polls are side-by-side and the vote totals aren't so different, yet the "not liking/playing FPS games" option is nearly doubled for the Halo 3 poll...not to mention people not liking the Halo series taking just over a third of the votes on top of that. Well, I don't usually play FPS games because I don't like them. It's a
good reason not to buy Halo 3, and what I voted. But I have played FPS
games before and I have a clear preference for mouse + keyboard, hence
I voted that. I don't think it's anything like you've suggested; if
Halo were so linked with negativity in some voters minds, those extra
"don't like fps" voters would have voted "don't like halo" in the first

Wario was awesome in SML2. He had... the smile. With the accompanied
sound effects. It was pretty damn funny how he got the bunny ears then

Meh, Wario was expected to have close matches with KOS-MOS and Sam
Fisher when Shadow was thought to have been worth 45% on Mario. If
Shadow 2004 = Shadow 2003, then Wario is really worth 18.78% on BL,
comparable to the likes of Duke Nukem, Terra, Conker, and Zidane (My
goodness, is Conker really on par with Zidane?!). Sure, he's boosted, but not enough for me to consider him "worthwhile." He's not winning a match without a lucky draw, I think (SUCH AS NESS!). --- http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=2088 Never forget. |

Ness beats Wario easily. He got a very nice boost between 2k4 and 2k5, and he was stronger than Wario to begin with. --- Rapid analysis, accurate judgment, and superb powers of concentration. That is all we need. |

Seriously, I don't see why he doesn't have reasons to be boosted and what not. It would be better to wait until he actually has a reason to comeback. He might have boosted thanks to the Nintendo shift we saw here, but he's not winning a match unless he draws fodder. --- believe |

With regard to Auron, Ness fits well enough simply holding him equal to Scorpion. 55% on a GTA main is quite impressive, especially if we hold CJ equal to Vercetti 2k4. Even putting him equal to Vercetti 2k5 (who CJ was likely stronger than) puts Ness solidly above the max Wario could be at. --- Rapid analysis, accurate judgment, and superb powers of concentration. We have absolutely nothing on CJ to tell how strong he is relative to
Vercetti...except that since GTASA came out, Vice City's been the
weakest of the three GTAs. CJ's almost as much of a wild card as Raiden

Eh, I don't think anybody thought that CJ
would be stronger than Vercetti. GameFAQs... black guy... gangsta...
Those don't mix well. The general thought was that there was enough

didn't nominate him should be booted from the next one. If you can't
live up to your end of the bargain, you don't belong in the contest. Thats Kinda why im asking. I dont even remember if I was in the last one. Well, here's something pretty cool. If you look at the Xbox 360 ownership as of the latest "Got Xbox 360?" poll, and strictly at the folks who have a 360 as of right now, it comes out to 40.84%. If you take the amount of people who voted that they were definitely going to get Halo 3, you come out to 39.22%. Now if you add in the people who said "No, but I plan to get one soon" -- assuming they're the same people who also voted "Great news, I'll get one at that price" in the price drop poll -- the Xbox 360 ownership comes out to be just a little bit over 50%. Similarly, if you assume the reviews would sway the people who voted for "No, I'm waiting for the reviews" in the Halo 3 pre-order poll, the amount of people who are getting Halo would come out to just a little over 50%. I thought that was just something rather interesting to note in relation to the contest coming up. You could give or take a few percentage points, but it probably wouldn't be a huge stretch to say that nearly half of the site would have purchased Halo 3 at some point during the contest. Couldn't hurt the Chief to have that! Fun with numbers. --- BELIEVE |

Just noticed on G4 that they've been talking about some of the Gphoria
winners...and apparently for Best New Character, Marcus Fenix won over
