Snake wins with 52.30% of the vote! Ganon is STRONGER than Zelda, and this is AFTER the release of TP. He's totally got this. 1. Who will be the strongest Non-Noble 9 member of this Contest? Ganondorf 2. Who will be the strongest new character in this contest?(Hell you can put Raiden if you like since he's basically new since being SFF'd shouldn't count for anything.) I haven't played TP and I wasn't impressed with the FFXII cast, so, uh....Seifer? I don't expect any new characters to reach 25% on Base Link, regardless. 3. Will Ryu be able to avoid a doubling from a Noble 9 member once again and stand his ground against them, or his time to decrease and start being trampled upon finally come? Ryu won't survive long enough to face a Noble Niner. 4. If you had to predict a match that would be most controversial(think Kefka/Vercetti, Crono/Mario, etc)what would it be? Master Chief/Vaan 5. What character will create the biggest upset of the contest? No idea, it all depends on the draw...but I think Vaan will create a bit of a stir by making it into the bracket. 6. Who will be at the bottom of the x-stats? Bidoof if it makes it. Otherwise, CATS. 7. Who will be the better joke character if both of them make it. Bidoof or Matt the Mii? Bidoof. 8. Finally, what character will gain the biggest boost, and which will gain the biggest decrease in strength? Decrease: Sephiroth will be the biggest name to show a noticeable decrease in strength. Statswise...Tifa (if she makes it in), even though that's a cheap pick. Increase: Kratos, because he has a lot of room for growth. |

I can understand his logic behind Ganon/snake. basically that Gabon
is the strongest non-nobler and is nintendo, so prior to ssbb's release
ganon will be able to drain his fairweather ninty support. sure i dont
buy it for a second, but its not like its completely out of nowhere. I can understand that. I just hope he also compares Samus/Solid to Samus/Ganon. It's still the second most anticipated game on the site, behind only Brawl. Wasn't Halo 3 and FF13 both ahead of it? Twice at that? --- PETITION: a "Contest Suggestions" board. Which is why I put a question mark by it. There still is definitely an

Guys, guys... I just bought a twelve pack of Master Chief soda today. I was psyched. 1. Who will be the strongest Non-Noble 9 member of this Contest? My money's still on Vincent. 2. Who will be the strongest new character in this contest?(Hell you can put Raiden if you like since he's basically new since being SFF'd shouldn't count for anything.) Raiden 3. Will Ryu be able to avoid a doubling from a Noble 9 member once again and stand his ground against them, or his time to decrease and start being trampled upon finally come? Ryu has his closest N9 match to date this year. He'll face up against Crono and pull some reverse SNES SFF. Buhlee dat. 4. If you had to predict a match that would be most controversial(think Kefka/Vercetti, Crono/Mario, etc)what would it be? See #5. It'll be a controversial win. 5. What character will create the biggest upset of the contest? Master Chief. Has a Halo game ever been released during a contest? I'm pretty sure not. It's gonna be good. 6. Who will be at the bottom of the x-stats? Let me think... an entrant that'll blindside us as to how it even got in, or an SFF match of epic proportions. Hmmm. Too damn hard without a bracket to answer this question... let's go with Bidoof getting SFFed to hell by Mewtwo. 7. Who will be the better joke character if both of them make it. Bidoof or Matt the Mii? I think they're both kinda lame, but I side with Matt the Mii. 8. Finally, what character will gain the biggest boost, and which will gain the biggest decrease in strength? Master Chief will get the biggest boost, (I'm unphased by this poll) Crono will have the biggest drop. Probably Midna but I think the range there is huge. 3. Ryu'd get 34% on anyone except Clink. 4. If you had to predict a match that would be most controversial(think Kefka/Vercetti, Crono/Mario, etc)what would it be? You really can't predict this kind of thing. 5. What character will create the biggest upset of the contest? I could see Ganon knocking off someone at the bottom of the N9. I'm also rating Marcus Fenix higher than most, given a 4/5 match against a midcarder I could see a win where most would be "lol" 6. Who will be at the bottom of the x-stats? Someone who really sucks. It's hard to say because there's always a couple of "who?" characters that get in that nobody sees coming. Let's pick some character of some RPG that's flavour of the month that everyone who's played the game loves, except that both of those people aren't going to generate a lot of votes. 7. Who will be the better joke character if both of them make it. Bidoof or Matt the Mii? Matt. We had a joke Pokemon last time. 8. While both matches were close, I think he will be even more ahead of them this year. I hope that Vincent faces Zelda this year so we can finally confirm that Vinny is the 10th strongest character on this site. 2. Even if we count Raiden, it would still be Midna. 3. Sonic VS Solid Snake, just a few days after Sonic gets confirmed for Brawl >_> Another interesting match would be if Masterchief would face a really poopular character after Halo 3 have been releaed. 5. What character will create the biggest upset of the contest? I've no idea. MAybe Masterchei if he's still in the contest when HALO 3 is out. Vincent won over Squall and Ganondorf, and he was closer to

were close, I think he will be even more ahead of them this year. Granted that Vincent beat them both, but he beat Squall pre-KH2 and Ganon pre-LoZ:TP. FF7 is also now two generations ago. Vincent MIGHT beat Squall by a bit more since FF:AC came out in America and DoC came out since their last match, but no way Vincent beats Ganon by more. I can see Kratos boosting to a point where he can win a match. For decreases, anything from CT isn't getting any better. Ha...Kratos is to the first round as Knuckles is to the second round --
both are more than capable of advancing on, but both keep getting bad

More like, will he avoid going under 40%. m i rite, m i rite? Seriously, I think he would be able to stop the doubling against anyone except Clinkeroth. 4. What character will create the biggest upset of the contest? Master Chief, Sora, Samus are all potential contenders in my book. Possible Gordon Freeman, if he goes up against a quasi-mainstream character and wins. 6. Who will be at the bottom of the x-stats? I don't know. I'll just go with someone random like Derek Stiles from Trauma Center. 7. Who will be the better joke character if both of them make it. Bidoof or Matt the Mii? Matt will probably do better as long as LUE doesn't spam for Bidoof like they did Nidoran Female. 8. Ganondorf would get a big boost from TP even if he wasn't in it, just from increased Zelda awareness. Going from in-game roles, Zelda definitely deserves a bigger boost though, thanks to that incredibly awesome scene with her. --- Rapid analysis, accurate judgment, and superb powers of concentration. i guess... i mean i guess that's why im not taking Ganon > Vincent
this year, because I really don't think it's going to make him any more
popular than he was before. he was just there, doing what he always
does. if you didnt like him before hes not doing anything to suddenly

I take Ganon over Vincent, but more as a result of Vincent not having

I would go with Riku, since he have done better on better opponents,
but that was before GoW2. I guess Kratos should still be considered to
