I think we need to see Knux vs Zero Both of them perform amazingly when not againstj Squintendo and both would probably be around similar strength. ugh Knuckles performs fantastic against Squintendo. Most of his
victories were against Square characters and if Shadow is anything to

Well throw alongside Shadow's 45% on Mario, Sonic's mauling of an
impressive Luigi and I think it's fair to say that Sonic characters

Guys, I'm really doubting Zero under-performs against Nintendo
characters in general. It's been said a hundred times, but Zero was
looking weaker in 2k5 before he faced Mario according to both Hayabusa
and Lloyd PLUS that was a great year for Mario. In 2k6, he was
dead-even with Luigi...and MKDS and NSMB had come out since the last
contest, coupled with the ever-increasing sales of the DS (which, at
the time, its three biggest games were SM64DS, MKDS, and NSMB) and the
Wii hype. Not only that, but the intangibles tend to help out Nintendo
in most matches...I'm not saying Luigi > Zero was a lock or nothing,
it should have been closer, but with all things considered Zero didn't
do so bad... ...if you're looking for a reason Zero under-performed, compare Mario/Zero to Luigi/Zero like lots of people compared Cloud/Vyse to Tifa/Vyse -- why wouldn't most people who voted for Mario/Cloud over Zero/Vyse also vote Luigi/Tifa over Zero/Vyse? I don't buy Zero being under-rated in 2k5, therefore I'm skeptical about him being over-rated in 2k6...but I think that would make the most sense. I'd like to see Zero face Link to see if he could hold up though -- Mega Man couldn't in 2k4, but Zero held up perfectly well against Mega Man that same year... ...but I don't think Zero's going to hold up so well this year anyway. The new generation of consoles are in, and that doesn't favor anything Mega Man-related. Long-term gamers now have a new era of gaming in their mind without Zero, new gamers aren't going to be familiar with them, and the Mega Man games -- to my experience, at least -- are becoming out-dated pretty quickly for even gameplay. We've also seen the shift that the Capcom-poll suggested afew weeks ago that RE has now passed MM and that we hardly saw anything impressive from Mega Man, Zero, or even Roll... ...I'd like to see Mega Man return to glory, but without something major he's not going to be any better off than Crono. Zero's in that same boat, and I don't see them patching the hole anytime soon. --- PETITION: a "Contest Suggestions" board. Yet Sonic's apparant strengths against Nintendo didn't help him at all
against Snake last year. Unless you're implying that he stole some of

What do you guys reckon are the Sonic characters chances of getting in? Sonic's a given, but the others. Somebody else? Hmm, Silver is a possibility, if not a good one. Probably has about the same odds as Tails. Mega Man didn't look so badly SFFed by Link when you consider what Mega Man did to Yoshi. dunno about using Ryu H. to say Zero dropped.. didn't he lose to Sora with a non-ninja picture? Let's use the same idea, but reversing the years. Dante beat Hayabusa by 2% more than Zero did, suggesting that Dante's stronger than Zero '05, and it's hard for me to imagine Dante even now being stronger than the Zero we once knew. --- "Ah, a party! Nobody is arguing that Zero hasn't dropped in strength. I've already
said I'd probably take Dante over Zero now. I just argue against Zero
being as weak as his match against Luigi showed. Going by that, he
dropped off even further than he did against Mario over the course of a
