i don't think you can say pw isn't a FAA type of game. all you need is
someone who gets a little frustrated over what to do next in the game

I only used a FAQ for PW1 during case five. everything else was pretty easy. PW2 I used a FAQ a little more often because it was a bit more frustrating that said, FF9 is FAQ bait and is dozens of times more popular than PW, yet Kuja is way below Phoenix in the stats I'd take Kuja over Phoenix by the way --- xyzzy "hello." -neonreaper |

And yeah, I checked up a FAQ a few times when playing PW2. As for Pheonix's strength...I'm not really sure. I feel like most of the "OMG PHOENIX WRIGHT" hype that was going on last year has died down a lot, which would lead me to believe that he wouldn't do as well (using the term well loosely), but then again, more people have been exposed to him over the past year with JFA coming out. PW lost to Gordon Freeman. He'll never win a match...not because of
lack of strength, but because he'll always be the lower seed. Unless
there's a contest with a massive field so he gets paired with someone

Today's poll...doesn't mean much for MP3. It's doing a little worse
than I expected, considering the lack of Nintendo competition. Meanwhile, Bioshock is doing much better than I expected, especially compared to Blue Dragon. Funny to see a WRPG/FPS beating a Sakaguchi JRPG. --- Rapid analysis, accurate judgment, and superb powers of concentration. That is all we need. |

That's not really all that surprising. Put Mario/Mario 3/SMW/YI/SM64
into pretty much any poll and their combined %age is going to be at 80+
(polls like "favorite Final Fantasy" are obvious exceptions <_<). --- Rapid analysis, accurate judgment, and superb powers of concentration. That is all we need. |

that said, FF9 is FAQ bait and is dozens of times more popular than PW, yet Kuja is way below Phoenix in the stats I'd take Kuja over Phoenix by the way I've said it before and I'll say it again, the mainstream hated FF9, and alot of the series' fans hated it as well. In fact, of the numbered Final Fantasies, I'd say 9 would be the second least liked overall, next to 2 of course. As for Zero/Kratos, I'd like to see that match, if only to see Kratos get overrated to hell against a Zero that probably hasn't dropped nearly as far as some people are saying. Look at all of Zero's previous matches in contest history. Any time he's gone up against somebody not from Nintendo, he's rocked face. It's only against Mario and Luigi that he's really disappointed, meaning that there's probably some overlap there. Same thing goes for any Mega Man/near elite matches in the next contest. Nobody is going to be breaking the Noble Nine this year methinks. The only guys close enough have little going for them (Vincent, Tifa, Zelda). Hell, barring an FF7 remake, I'd say the only one likely to break the NN will be Sora after Kingdom Hearts 3. Based on Wesker, he was supposed to do 2-3% better on Lloyd, but
nothing massive. He may have dropped a little, but I doubt it's

I've heard some people say Wesker/Kefka was a little weird and had Wesker be a little underrated. Random insignificant thought: do you think any pokemon could be stronger than Mewtwo in the contest? Jigglypuff and Wobbuffet come to mind, as they were prominent and popular characters in the TV show, yet aren't quited as whored out as Pikachu. If my suspicions are confirmed and Lucario is playable in Brawl, he has a chance to do some damage. And Brock. I've always though that Pikachu would be the ceiling for any Pokemon
that happened to get into a contest. I guess I'm against the majority
there, though, as it seems most people think Mewtwo would take that

I can't see any Pokémon outside of R/B/Y being stronger than Mewtwo,
and Jigglypuff doesn't seem like it has any casual appeal (it's like
Kirby, except it sings instead of sucks, and it's down+B in SSB/M
doesn't do anything!) Brock would be basing pretty much all of his
strength off of the TV show, which seems a bit iffy. Well, Jigglypuff stopped appearing a LONG time ago, but whenever she appeared, she always shined. Wobbuffet appears in almost every episode now just as part of Team Rocket's comic relief. He's never really the focus, since he hardly ever battles, and isn't as iconic as Pikachu, but any decent pokemon trainer knows that he's a force to be reckoned with in the games. I think you can safely say that Tingle is her
absolute-worst-day-ever-floor. Not even so much because of what Midna
brings to the table, but just as a product of not being Tingle. If

Have we sort of established that Zero has been at least somewhat
overrated... in the stats and in general, I guess since teh past year
or 2? Overrated? No. He's probably declined some since Capcom hasn't done anything for him for the glory days outside of the Mega Man Zero series which didn't get enough exposure as it should have. But it doesn't make him overrated. Overrated is holding someone in high esteem for years off of one good match they had! Zero has had tons of legit matches. He definitely has shown a weakness to the Mario Bros. though, and he certainly isn't getting any more popular. There's no reason for newer gamers to be fans of him at all nowadays. I wouldn't mind seeing Charizard in a contest. He'd definitely be the
#2 Pokemon behind Mewtwo. But then, put him in and then other people
would be clamoring to get their favorite Poke in. I still can't believe
