that was my initial thought, too.. I wish we had a poll with both TP and Brawl in it. Given how much steam SSBB has been garnering and is apparently getting its own event well before the game comes out...I'd take SSBM as #4 now, barely over CT. Yeah. I used to side with SMB3, but put me in the SSBM camp there.
There have been polls that make me confident enough in thinking SSB

I could be wrong (when was the last time I was correct in a stats
topic?) but I can't Super Mario Bros 3 lossing to SSBM, I don't even
think it would be that close. Super Mario Bros won over SSB with over
60%, and even if SMb3 VS SSBM would be closer.... No Super Mario Bros 3
is to much of a classic to lose to Super Smash Brothers Meele. I also can't see the game winning over Lttp, but maybe it could beat Chrono Trigger unless Ct becomes a Ct Virtual Console game. But except of the top 5, I doubt any game could beat SSBM right now. Twilight Princess is the only game I would take over it as an upset. But hey what do I know? I honestly don't understand how so many think that OoT wins over FFVII now. --- Ngamer64: Zylo, you're making less sense every day. |

Galaxy may be splitting votes with Prime, but MGS4 is splitting with
everything else but Halo, and Halo is splitting with everything else

Obligatory reminder for most of you to nominate Wario! From Yesmar: Am I the only one who thinks having another Character Contest during the school year is a bad idea? The constant vote shifts were cool at first, but I thought after a while they became dull and predictable. Vote shifts might not be so common and back and forth in the summer, but it's much more unpredictable as to when they'll start and how long they'll last unlike in the fall where you can predict when a character's momentum will shift down to the hour. So true. Speaking of a FF7/OoT rematch... the year FF7/OoT took place was the year that Link became the unstoppable force he basically is now. And, you'd think Link the character would gain strength more easily than any of his games. SSBM over Zelda: LttP... yummy upset. SSBB over Zelda: LttP definitely seems likely, though. --- "Ah, a party! We haven't had one of those. It could be fun! So...what is a party?" "Well, you drink punch and eat CAKE! ...I think." |

I'm not sure about much better, but I would bet it would be enough to make it the winner of the poll. There are probably a ton of people who are very much anticipating MGS4 who don't own a PS3 right now -- another good chunk probably plan to get one after it comes out -- so I don't think that's really much of a hindrance. GameFAQs is just a rather different audience from most places, and seeing Metal Gear pulling a very close third is pretty good, I think. I barely voted for MGS4, although I don't
believe I'll ever buy a PS3. I very nearly voted for GTA4 or SMG

Assassin's Creed is having a pretty impressive performance, considering
what it's up against. The demo was pretty strong, but I'd never heard
