I'm not really worried about the contests one way or another. If
they're not run after this next one, it won't be that big of a deal for
me; it'll be a nice time to move on from GameFAQs. If they're

I sent CJay a ticket suggesting our need for a Contest Admin, someone
to work under SB to handle things like making Contest pics, dealing
with prizes, creating brackets, and suchlike so SB doesn't get too
overworked around Contest season. I know we've brought this up with him
before and he hasn't jumped at it, but figured it was worth a shot once
again now that we're officially into this transition period. In any case I wouldn't worry too much about the future of the Contests... Even with CJay "stepping down," it seems clear to me that he's the type who's going to continue having a hand in the site for years to come. And with how much he loves tournaments, Contests, Got Console polls and the like, I don't doubt that he'd be willing to spend some of the massive free time he's about to start having in setting up prizes or making pics to help SB keep these brackets rolling. --- thengamer.com/xstats = lol x-stats Still smarting from the beatdown Rufus applied in the Guru Contest! |

I'm really not that worried. people are kind of overreacting to what I
think was inevitable. Ceej has slowly withdrawn from the site over the

I actually expect ceej to become a lot more a part of the community
than he was as the admin of the board. I could be wrong, but I see him
becoming a lot more accessible, even posting around the boards, and

TRE's my number one choice without question. He's already a mod and has
stored so much good stuff from our topics and is rarely ever saying
something disagreeable. He's also very fast ('m blaming it on him being
a computer). After that, yeah, probably Ngamer, since he's done a lot
to make the difficult stats something everybody can use and has also
made storage for lots of good stuff... ...but I don't think of either of them as theorizing very often or looking out for good matches or analyzing created matches. I've always seen them as putting the info and features out there and letting others work with the finer details. As far as theory-people go...I'd like to think I'm as qualified as anybody, but tranny and KH are completely worthy too; it's not really my place to say I can match or outdo either of them. I would have said Leonhart a year ago, but given that he's gone and he just seemed to be more off this year idea-wise...or maybe it was just me. More or less, if something wildly awesome like a group of us were picked, I would be very upset if TRE wasn't a part of it other than he chose not to be...then from there, it would just depend on what SB wanted. --- PETITION: a "Contest Suggestions" board. A Contest Crew? Then I think Smurf, Vlado, Durango, Ertyu (Face it, no
one would complain about the match pictures if Ertyu made them) and

Above all else, I'd prefer someone who'd consistently be willing to
deal with all the work such a position would entail. N and TRE have
already done tons of stuff beyond water cooler discussion, and would
thus earn my highest recommendation. I, ironically, would probably earn

I like the idea of having a contest crew, but like CJayC said a year or

I dunno bout you, but I think Wario/Kratos is a potentially good match.
And I think PoP could make the crazy Kratos/PoP comparisons go outta

Wario of all people is not going to gain some sort of absolutely
enormous boost from SSBB, especially given that's he's already in all
of the other Nintendo side games. And being in SSB is not a guarantee

kratos would have taken alucard last year with his boost alone, toss in

Hell I'm not even talking about the other side of the fourpack, that's
just filler to see how well Kratos can do. I would totally take Kratos
in that fourpack all the way, but if you think Wario would get doubled,
