...Halo 2's just going to remain a mystery until we get a Game Contest again, methinks. If Halo 2 even makes it. Who knows how nominations and the bracket set-ups would work, plus Halo 3 coming out this year and all. We may never actually get to see Halo 2 in action. Definitely a weird choice leaving Halo off the poll. Ceej seems to completely forget that Halo exists at times (see also: Halo 2 in 10AC), but this is still weird. Whoops, late. So, Doom is also in nearly exact proportion. Still might
be a bit of a coincidence, with inconsistancies between PotDs and
1-on-1 polls cancelling out with new games or boosts in Sp2K4. So... that means Timesplitters would get around 17% on FF7! And, Serious Sam would get on FF7... Yeah, this is confusing as heck, with Halo left out. How is it not
futuristic? An "all-star" FPS poll featuring Halo, Prime, Goldeneye,
Half-Life, and Call of Duty is the only other thing I could think of,
but that seems a long shot (though it would sure be awesome). In any case, at least today allows me to lol at BT's earlier wisdom. Unreal or Quake would win an FPS poll, with Halo doing respectably if Goldeneye isn't in it. TuRtLe What's your all-time favorite science fiction first-person shooter series? Ha, to be fair, I don't think anybody expected Quake to be performing
like THIS. Unreal's doing about as expected, but Quake is bombing. Does
anybody think it's THAT weak or that it's just losing so much of its PC
support to some other series like Half-Life and Doom and doesn't have

I love the fact that Mr. Driller and Serious Sam have both just
appeared in their first polls in years, and both got under 1.5%. Let's
hope this is a sign we'll be seeing Mega Man own some faces soon

See how Mega Man is beating Sonic? I think it's proof enough that Mario
games will always SFF Sonic games like crazy. Still ironic that it
seems that Mega Man is the character that gets SFFed by Nintendo...
but, I guess we haven't seen seen anything truly conclusive about Sonic
characters being SFFed by a strong Nintendo character... (don't bring
up Mario/Shadow) Hey, does it mean Sonic is a leech of sorts, since we all know Mega Man games are so much better than Sonic games, and its leeching off Mario is what makes it stronger than Mega Man games ... *hides* --- "Ah, a party! bring up Mario/Shadow) Because they won't be. I'd wager that Sonic overperforms on Mario before the other happens. The game situation is obviously different. Sonic isn't a "leech" in that he isn't popular because Mario is. That's ridiculous. It's just that Mario and Sonic were very closely tied together (especially during the 2-D days) that it's almost impossible to avoid overlap. It'll be interesting to see if Ceej does a 3-D platformer poll and keeps Mario and Sonic in. I wonder how different the percentages will be. --- "I'm only here to see how the story plays out. I've always thought as Sonic/Knuckles/Shadow as characters who do good
because of who they are, not so much the games they star in. Mega Man
most likely gets most of his support from his games, I don't see the

Yeah, because there's no SFF in this poll at all! I mostly want to see just how well 3-D Sonic does to see if it has any impact, really. I'd wager that Mario would have a chance of doing worse in the 3-D poll if it had ANYTHING to challenge it. For what it's worth, Mortal Kombat wasn't included in both fighting
polls. I would like to see them both make it back in, but I wouldn't

I dunno. It'd almost be weird not to see Mario in a 3-D platforming
poll considering nearly EVERY 3-D platformer is drawn in some way from
Mario 64. Heck, the original Jak and Daxter is practically Mario 64 on

Yeah. It could certainly go up there, but I'd rather see what GameFAQs
prefers that isn't Mario or Sonic, especially since both of their 3D
