Isn't it usually better to make your one point mistakes in the openig rounds? we never get perfect brackets so i assume it's best to be on the leaderboard after round 3. --- Rufus shinra destroyed my bracket in the sc2k6 contest. |

One of these days I'll make a leaderboard, full stop. Last year was the
most irritating thing EVER. How many people were perfect after
Vince/Gan? 115 or something, and I still wasn't on the goddamn
leaderboard? There were even less people on -2 just before Luigi/Kirby
(I went -4 after that because I had Zero), and I STILL wasn't on it.
ARGH. And I'm just waiting for any sort of news. Regarding leaderboards: Brag - Was on villains contest leaderboard, LDO, first 11 matches were ultra obv Beat - Lost seven points when I got knocked off Variance - Will win more money from full tilt donk and go leaderboard than gamefaqs donktest leaderboards, ignoring the fact I'm ineligible for the latter --- Jon Thomson - Owned by Rufus Shinra in the guru contest |

At this point I don't necessarily want a contest per se. I just want
some clarification as to when we're getting one. Ceej wouldn't just be

I think it's safe to say that we'll only have one bracket contest this
year. Since it's already the 10th of this month, we probably won't have
a contest even START until August, which means that contest'll end in

I actually don't think he's straight-up canceled it...or at least, I
wouldn't put it past him. For how simple it would be to host the
matches and the fact that he's already got the nominations (almost
certainly tallied by now), he may just be holding off to see if he
could throw it in at a time the site needs more hits. I know GameFAQs
could always use more hits...but say he made the Quote Contest during
July, during E3, then followed up in August or September with the next
game or character contest to keep the momentum strong. *shrugs* Not that he hasn't scrapped ideas out of the blue before, but I don't feel like he's scrapping the Quote Contest. --- PETITION: a "Contest Suggestions" board. Maybe someone should just send him a polite feedback ticket saying that
the game contest is generally considered the best contest we've had,
and that most of us would love to have another game contest instead of

He's not obligated to do anything, but it would still be nice to know
what the hell is going on once in a while. I think the least he could
do is just make a post saying what his intentions are, or if he even
has any intentions of having another contest at this point. You can say
he doesn't owe us anything all you like, and you're right, but I still

the next contest really is the only thing I look forward to on these
boards anymore. sure i'd still come around even if there weren't any,

I think he's pretty honour-bound to at least give us some sort of
indication. No obligation of course, but as a decent section of his
message boards/site for almost 5 years I feel a bit high and dry when
we're like 2 and a half months overdue a bracket. I don't need the
contest right this instant, but I would want to see just some sort of

I'll tell you who's worth rallying for: Seifer Almasy, Balthier, and Akuma! And I'm surprised we haven't gotten a Favorite Zelda poll since the release of TP. I'd personally like to see a Warcraft character just to see how they
would do. Better than Kerrigan I would assume, since they are featured
in newer games, they play a large role in WoW, and they have real
