I'd feel more confident in Zell if I had ever ever ever ever eeevvveeerrr
heard of any interest in Zell outside of the FF8-poll. I dunno how that
happens while Laguna, Riona, Quistis, Seifer, and Squall have all
gotten some decent attention here I've seen...but that just makes me
real curious. That reason would have made me pick Seifer > Zell
without KH2, though the board's say-so doesn't always mean a thing. Seriously, why have I never heard anybody say anything about Zell? I don't even know if Zell is a man or woman! --- The Office > you. |

Meh, Auron crushes him. I've got no delusions concerning Balthier or
FFXII's strength. There's still a bit of a chance he doesn't end up the
strongest character from that game... supplanted by Basch if that's the
case (though I traditionally put Basch below Ashe like most). I'm just staying hopeful for Balthier and getting a good read on what will hopefully become a contest mainstay in the future. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

Zell is cool and awesome to use in battle, though his face-tattoo
always bugged the hell out of me. It's not inconceivable he could be
above Rinoa, especially with how wide open FFVIII looks to me at this

Hay but Balthier es gunna b in da FFT PSP guyz...tootlly mak up teh diferens rite ther Plus we'll have to see how well FFXII RW does...it looks like it could either totally tank or be a good game...but it will sell well, thats to be assured Not that I actually think Balthier, even with this, stands any kind of chance against Auron... --- Our shields cannot withstand wavedashing of this magnitude! Gah, I want to say Balthier... but he's untested competition from as-of-now more unpopular game (though more recent)... and Vivi has BMF. ...I can't bet against BMF there. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

Vivi got the same boost from KH2 that Seifer did. Seifer probably got a
slight more recognition, but that shouldn't matter. Don't forget that
Vivi kicked Seifer's ass in that fight there, and was Roxas' first real

Thats tough...SSBB and all that jazz >_> Assuming SSBB isnt out and no new characters are named (just speculation) Link (lol PH, like he needs it) Cloud (Crisis Core aint gonna make up this gap) Sephy (though Snake should be here, look at poll lol) Mario (woohoo SMG...hopefully sometimes this year, plus SPM as well) Samus (MP3 and SSB fanbase back her against the lower 4) Snake (lol SSBB and MGS4) Sonic (SatSR is getting positive reviews, though we need a read on how well its selling...and SSBB is a very good possiblity) Crono (Remake or sequel sometime this decade plz) MM (really could use a SSBB boost...) --- Our shields cannot withstand wavedashing of this magnitude! That would be Tifa. At least Vivi is involved in something, not like Ms. "Hey guys, I'm in the game for no reason at all kbye!". No, Tifa's role, while not particularly good, was not nearly as insigificant, forgettable, and downright silly as much as Vivi's was. Did he even have so much as a line? Because I can't remember him even speaking a word. He was just sort of there as the tag along sidekick. He's one of those characters who shouldn't benefit at all from KH2. --- The Mad Prince |

I think Mega Man is -- over the course of this generation -- going to
start getting lost in the mix with the near-elites of the contest, with
Ganon likely being the most eager to smash the Noble Nine now with
LoZ:TP out. I also think the same for Crono and Sonic, though not so
much...and I don't know why I gave Crono the edge there; Crono/Sonic
should be equal, with an ever-so-slight edge to Sonic. --- The Office > you. |

What Vivi did: - Get possessed and kicked Seifer's ass out of the tournament - Fought Roxas in the final in one of his first real fights - Glitched up and multiplied to like 100 little Vivi's and attacked Roxas What Tifa did: - Knock on a wall I think the result are quite obvious here. --- - "Ha, the gaming industry, PS3 included, just got Wii'd." - Wanglicious |

Seifer was definitely more prominent than Vivi. He gets a fair bit of
focus and lines, whereas Vivi really only really gets any attention in
DA STRURGGLE lolz Sonic's had his Next-Gen offerings for PS3 and X360, and then there's the recent Sonic and the Secret Rings for Wii. Bad reviews or not (and the latter isn't exactly getting reviled), they're high-profile games, and the better of the two happens to be for the hottest system out right now (and it kinda has a derth of games, which means that many Wii owners are likely to pick up Sonic in addition to their now-beaten copy of Twilight Princess). It's too much for Mega Man and Crono... Sonic beats them without too much of a sweat, loses in a closer one to Snake. Not too much else that can be said. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

What Tifa did: - Knock on a wall Knocked on a wall, which was infinitely more memorable than the entirety of Vivi's screentime, participated in the Heartless fight (where FF characters join you), was apart of the Cloud sidequest where you fight Sephiroth, and something else.... ...... oh, the Coliseum. But like I said, Tifa's role wasn't great -- but neither was Vivi's. In Vivi's case, it wasn't better, more memorable, or even cooler. He's not getting anything from it. --- The Mad Prince |
