Well, I figure it's about time for me to reguraly post in these again! Let's kick off my 2007 statsing career (Changed my major yesterday ^_^) with a loller. Whatever floats your boat. I couldn't really care less what system MGS4
lands on. Besides, I'm sure I'll get my fill of the game just by

I really have no idea why people keep on insisting that when EVERYONE

Just a question outta curiosity since nothing else of note is going on:
Where do you guys think Tidus is now? We didn't get a good read on him
last year, but what do you guys think of him? How would a matchup with
Auron, Yuna, and Rikku (not at the same time, obviously) go for him?

I'd take Auron to crush him, Yuna to beat him, but I cant see Rikku taking out Tidus TBH... --- Our shields cannot withstand wavedashing of this magnitude! Annoying posters! I am the great wavedash! |

I remember the FFX-poll where Rikku barely edged out Tidus pre-FFX-2,
ha...plus, was Rikku in KH/2/CoM? I know Tidus was barely in the first

Tidus was in 1 and CoM, Rikku was in 2...both had bit roles, though
Tidus is more visible since he is one of the sparring partner you have

Well, I guess Squall DID get 42% on the Snake on steroids. Tidus got 35 or so on Squall? Past the SFF, that's still only decent. Oh, and since I'm posting here again, just remember. I don't often have the most logical of points or good reasoing. So if we had a standard games contest, 64 entry style, how many Zeldas, FFs, and Mario games get in...? Also do all three MGSs make the bracket? Same for both Halos and all three GTAs... I'd say 3 zeldas, 5 final fantasies (with tactics), 2 marios, both
halos, 2 metal gear solids, and with divisions of 8, I'd guess WoW as a
5 seed. --- Lions and Tigers and 'Stones (oh my) -Fan of Detroit sports but not hockey (^5 Icehawk) |

Let's see. Zelda - LttP, OoT, TP...maybe the original. Final Fantasy - FFVI, FFVII, FFVIII, FFX. I wouldn't bank on any others being definite. Mario - SMB, SMB3, SMW, Galaxy (assuming it's out by then). SM64 is a maybe. I can see all three MGS games and both (all three?) Halo games making it. KT, I'd be stupefied if the original Zelda didn't make it, and SM64
makes it long before the original Mario. Might even make it before

Didn't SM64 get subbed from the original? I don't remember, not having been here for the contest and all. And the original Zelda...meh. I think a lot of people will end up overlooking it. I say we should have a 128-game bracket... and have two matches per day
for Round 1, and maybe Round 2, as well. Whenever you entered the site
or refreshed it would randomly pick one of the matches. The casual
visitors would randomly vote in one of the matches and move on, while
the more diligent contest participants would refresh until they voted
in both matches. --- "Ah, a party! We haven't had one of those. It could be fun! So...what is a party?" "Well, you drink punch and eat CAKE! ...I think." |

SM64 got smashed by OOT in the second round. that's why you've never
heard anyone talk about it, unless it's just "how the crunk did SM64

Yeah, when you smash a Saturn game before you're SFF'd hardcore, the
only thing really left to mention about it is that LoZ:OoT, GE007 and
PD were N64 games that were seeded above you. For as much as I love PD,
I don't understand how it outseeded SM64 -- even with GE007 out-seeding
PD. Not like SM64 wouldn't beat PD to a pulp or perhaps even beat GE007, but that seeding is still weird. I should just assume CJay tampered with it and move on, ha..... --- This is my main account, but I see all the cool people doing it...... HaRRicH |

SM64 always disappoints me. it even cost me another 100 bucks or

That's an okay enough idea, Haste, but I'd hate to see good
first/second round matches earning only 60k votes. I think what we
should do instead is to have two Polls, one right on top of the other.
HOWEVER, every time you visit the page one would randomly be picked as
the top poll, and might switch on a refresh. That way both polls ought
to be noticed, and in equal numbers. (I can already hear complaints of
"StarCraft only didn't finish that comeback because b.neters coming to
the site only noticed the Devil May Cry/Perfect Dark match on top!") Also, the vote results page ought to read "Vote accepted. Now vote in StarCraft vs Kingdom Hearts 2." --- thengamer.com/xstats = lol x-stats Still smarting from the beatdown Rufus applied in the Guru Contest! |

The one thing that I would see happen with Haste's idea is that the
contest-faithfuls will have a bit more of a say-so in the match-ups. I
wouldn't mind so much, but as if this year isn't going to be crazy

As for that other question about which games from these series make it in, here's what I'd go with... Mario Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario Bros. Zelda Twilight Princess, A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, The Legend of Zelda, Majora's Mask (?) Final Fantasy Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VIII All three Metal Gear Solids, both Halos, WoW gets in and faces FFVII for supreme justice. --- To my side, my noble Einherjar! |

I enjoy the fact that there are more people who consider themselves to
be the most loyal to Sony than people who own a PS3 right now. It
doesn't necessarily mean a lot plus the poll still has a lot of time

I enjoy the fact that there are more people who consider themselves
to be the most loyal to Sony than people who own a PS3 right now. It
doesn't necessarily mean a lot plus the poll still has a lot of time
left, but...still, enjoying that tidbit. It should also be noted that since Square is easily the biggest on Sony consoles, it steals a lot of Sony votes.
