I was a supporter of Thank You Mario for awhile, but I've since changed
my ways...for better or for worse, that has yet to be determined. I cannot wait to see the BOP...and speaking of which, who's going to do it this contest? Slow's kinda gone, and I haven't seen Master Mage in a long time. --- The Office > you. |

probably not til next week.. we definitely won't see a bracket before

Just so we have proof of this in case the poll changes by the end... Which games would you most love to see on the Wii's Virtual Console? Castlevania I-III+Rondo of Blood 10.24% 1655 Final Fantasy I-III 2.94% 475 Final Fantasy IV-VI 13.17% 2128 Phantasy Star I-IV 4.64% 749 Star Fox/Star Fox 64 12.76% 2061 Super Mario RPG/Paper Mario 28.73% 4643 Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask 27.52% 4447 TOTAL VOTES 16158 ...about 3 1/2 hours into it, SMRPG/PM are beating OoT/MM. There's a reason for this, I'm sure, but it's still quite the sight. Also, SF/SF64 is just behind FF4-6, ha. Totally inaccurate for contest strengths, but this is still good stuff. I wish he would have paired Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64 for one of the options, but hey...take what you can get. --- The Office > you. |

I would imagine that SMRPG is taking in a good amount of both Nintendo
and Square support (OMG INSTANT WIN), which in all seriousness helps a
lot in this format. Doesn't hurt that the FFs and Zeldas have already
been remade and rehashed to all hell. Still surprising, though. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

Yeah, there were two OoT ports on the GCN, and one MM port. The MM port sucked though, so I'd really like to see that. FFIV-VI being so low is a little surprising though, since their ports were mostly crappy too. Yeah, the 2D FFs are still going on their handheld porting bonanza they
started in late 2004, so I'm not too surprised they aren't winning. LoZ ports or not, though, the Mario RPGs doing so well surprises me. Those games deserve more attention, like Geno or Fawful or Doopliss or somebody getting into SSBB. That'd be cool. >.> --- face it cjay i have the high ground i have powend you - ertyu |

FFIV-VI being so low is a little surprising though, since their ports were mostly crappy too. I guess the Advance games must've been more popular than I thought. I don't think that has to mean they were more popular, it's just that if you wanted those games remade more than any of those other classics, you probably just went out and bought it already, leaving another group of games to receive your vote. about 3 1/2 hours into it, SMRPG/PM are beating OoT/MM. There's a reason for this, I'm sure, but it's still quite the sight. i'm guessing that for as much as people here love Zelda and Final Fantasy, we really don't need those games re-released on to yet ANOTHER system. FF IV, for example, already exists on FOUR systems. why would ANYONE need it on a FIFTH system? plus, FF VI is about to be released for it's third system, so i don't see why anyone would really want either of those games on the Wii as well. as for the Zelda games, they were already both on the N64 AND the Gamecube. that means if you have the Gamecube version, you already can play the Zelda games on the Wii. the Mario RPG games, however, were only released once and aren't available on any current-gen systems. it would make MUCH more sense to see Mario RPG ( and Starfox ) do well in this poll. --- "I am the reinforcements." - Ashley Riot (Vagrant Story) |

It's also interesting to see GTAIV trailing all of the heavy hitters.
It seems like GTA's strength was basically in pure numbers, and not a
dedicated core fanbase. It seems like a lot of people like
GTA, but a lot of those people don't have it as one of their top games.
It sure did put on a pretty face for all these years on this site

I wanted to vote for MGS4 there, I really did...but SMG has my hopes
just a lil' higher, plus I'm certain I'll own a Wii this year as

SMS was good...just not as good as Mario games usually are. Considering
how long the series has generally been excellent and that the last
video I saw for SMG (which has been a while, admittedly) looked like a
mix between Mario and Shadow of the Colossus, I'm pumped. --- The Office > you. |

Wow, Sonic's losing to some game I've never heard of named Crackdown, a
collection of mini-games for a system it shares, and is getting doubled
by a GBA FF port? Sonic the Hedgehog next-gen must have been the final
