I'd expect 32, though I hope it's 16. I don't want this to push into March or even April. that'll really ruin the chances of a game contest if Ceej is traditional about having a character battle every year. I've had that impression for years. he wouldn't cancel the character
battle for another contest -- it'd be for no contest at all. which is why this contest irks me.. last time we had a quirky like contest was November 05 and we didn't get a Spring Contest until July '06. hopefully it doesn't come to that. --- yzzyx |

This is probably a bracket contest, look at the top games contest: http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/contest/top10 we were supposed to ORDER the games and I honestly don't think CJC is making us nominate and then pick our top 10... I'm guessing 32 quotes max too. Anyway I expect something like "The Princess is in another castle" to win simply because it's classic and FFVII/Zelda have no iconic quotes. _-¯-_ *gets rolled over by a Rufus Shinra, King of All Gurus* |

If CJayC gets this contest going quickly (as in, doesn't leave
nominations up for a month like he did last year), we could still have

Would anybody argue with me if I say nominations will easily be
board-dominated? I don't care if nominations are up for three months, I
don't imagine there will be ANY unison for the casuals on long quotes
nor nearly as much as us on the shorter quotes. I also don't think
casuals will be wanting to nominate for something like this, or at
least not like for games/characters. I also just thought of a quote I wish I entered: Dodongo dislikes fire. --- The Office > you. |

As long as Ceej gets the contest rolling in a short amount of time, the
potential for a Games Contest is still out there. I would imagine his
intentions of starting such a contest so early is that it's not the
only contest besides the Character Battle that he intends to run. At
least that's what I think. Right after Twilight Princess would be the

agree completely Leon, but remember how it took a month last time for
nominations? I've come to expect that Ceej will operate in Ceej time.
if nominations are up for two weeks, bracket period is a month and the

Yeah, that's why I said it's possible if he gets it rolling quickly. I
really can't imagine him spending an extensive period of time on such a

that's kinda why I hope it's only 16. I know it'll never happen and
we'd have a whole sea of perfect brackets, but I'd like to see the big
guys duke it out and then have this over and done with. it sucks that
my enjoyment is compromised because I want to see a game contest before

because with a regular contest it's about who's more popular. in a tag
team contest it's about what fanbases you're bridging together. I don't
