I hated to nominate Shadow too man. And I'm sorry, but as much as I
love Liquid, he did not impress me at all in the Villains Contest, and
his performance against Frog doesn't prove anything now. However he is

And what else do you need?! Plus, with the boost that Snake has taken

Regardless, here are my returners <_< Returners: Fox McCloud(Its mother ****ing Fox.) Shadow The Hedgehog(I don't like him too much, but the guy put up big numbers against Mario. With Raiden, I would. I still have my doubts about him. Liquid Snake
can do well now, that's been shown. Either way, something tells me it's

I'd rather we get Raiden in before MGS4,
as I'd like to see what his role in MGS2 alone warrants. From the looks
of how they're revising his appearance, he won't need any help getting
in post-MGS4. Liquid, you can at least say had his shot proving himself in at least three non-SFF matches. We haven't seen ANYTHING Raiden can do... --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

See, my reasoning is that Raiden didn't get a chance to prove himself.
Liquid did, and promptly got destroyed by Sephiroth, and beaten by the
wierdest looking character in a contest in Frog(before he got verified

Speaking of MGS characters, I recently bought MGS:TTS and rebought
MGS2:S (my friend got robbed while she borrowed my copy a long time
ago)...am I the only person who enjoys Vulcan Raven? I mean, sure, I

Time for some Unoffical stats. In the NRT after the first 50 posts 62 different characters have been nominated and 30 have received more than 1 nomination the top 10 looks like this. Mewtwo (Pokemon) - 11 Balthier (Final Fantasy XII) - 7 Midna (LoZ: Twilight Princess) - 7 Seifer Almasy (Final Fantasy VIII) - 6 Gilgamesh (Final Fantasy V/XII) - 5 Amaterasu (Okami) - 4 Nightmare (Soul Calibur) - 4 Rayman (Rayman) - 4 Zelos Wilder (Tales of Symphonia) - 4 Brave Fencer Musashi (Brave Fencer Musashi) - 3 Hector (Fire Emblem 7) - 3 Serge (Chrono Cross) - 3 As for the returners 17 different characters have been nominated and 10 have received more than 1 nomination the top 5 looks like this. Raven is awesome, though TTS kind of tarnishes his image a bit (he's
just not as imposing). I think he doesn't resonate as much with the
audience because he doesn't give any concrete underlying reason for
fighting -- he just does it for the hell of it. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

Raven's okay for me, but yeah, he's definitely 5th on the pecking order
for MGS villains: Liquid, Ocelot, Mantis, Wolf, and THEN Raven. Speaks

I actually like Psycho Mantis, Vulcan Raven, AND Sniper Wolf. And of
course, I'm a huge Liquid fan. Revolver Ocelot is actually on the low

I'm suprised at the lack of Luneth nominations... would have thought
people would be giving some FF3 support, even though that idea is
likely to go down in flames. Actually, I can't really think of any
newcomers that really need to be in it this year... we should just

By the way... PoP totally needs to return... just look at these numbers! Using good ol' EC stats, Solid Snake is at 43.71 on Linky-poo this past year. PoP got a spectacular 38.30% on Kirby this year, who got a stunning 47.88% on Bowser, who got an astounding 49.41% on Snake! That means PoP should be somewhere in the ballpark of 30% on BL. What we need is some character come outta no where and just straight up
kick some ass. I'm talking about someone who can go through a stacked
division and get to a division final up against a Noble Niner. I also
say we get some Gears of War and Dead Rising reps in this, see how 360

I don't think there would be significant difference between the two in
strength though. Seifer would probably have he slight edge thanks to

Eh? I think there would be a pretty significant difference in their
strength. Although it is probably up for argument, I would wager that
Seifer has always been the second strongest Final Fantasy VIII
character, even before Kingdom Hearts was a thought in Square's head.
Then add into that Kingdom Hearts II and Seifer should be well ahead of

I say we skip Seifer purely because there's a high chance we'll get a
****** KHII pic. That means Laguna. We also need a GoW character, and

So which Final Fantasy VII character do you want to add to the mix?
Because judging by your comment earlier, the only characters who have
not made it into the contest yet and could possibly manage to reach the
end of a division against a Noble Nine character are one of the few
FFVII who have not made it. No FF character. No main-franchise Nintendo character. I just want someone who could win 2 matches in his/her first contest apperance without being in the mainstream of the gaming industry. I agree -- Seifer might, but Laguna...nah. He was way too low in the
FF8-poll and Squall did too bad in 2k2 -- no matter any Something Fishy
Factor that came into play against Solid -- to give him a fighting
chance. Seifer did better in that poll and he's got KH2 for a lil'
support too, so maybe him...but he's the only other one I'd put faith

Yeah. I don't really have much faith in Laguna being worth much of
anything, even though I think he's awesome. Seifer, though, I believe
would be quite strong; it's hard to ignore that Kingdom Hearts II
support he would have in his corner. It looked like those who were not
in KH and then appeared in KH2 got a nice size boost. Plus, Seifer is
