So, what we need now are new extrapoliated standings for the characters with Jay Solano in the number one position over the likes of the Noble Nine. :P Say, here's a wild question for you. Assuming Jay beats Link by say, 55%-45% in this poll, what would be the extrapoliated results for Jay over...say...Cloud? Sephiroth? Mario? Snake? Samus? Mega Man? Crono? ...Squall? Tee-dus? Would Jay be expected to triple or even quadruple any prominent characters out there? The comedic potential of this is simply hysterical. :P |

Ceej claimed that he didn't get enough noms. which is BS! I'll be working on some Jay-stats when the match is over. Jay does not have this won though - not with the kids on the TP board rallying votes! --- When conflict on the Ixan border reaches crisis point, they know who to call... Jay Solano! HM, I know you're online -- what can we expect out of the LoZ
characters next year and maybe even spoiler-free reasons why if you
can? If you can't then you can't, but hey, that'd be real cool. Based on their roles in the games, I think we're looking at an across the board increase for every major Zelda character and then the newest addition of Midna. Link -- This one is pretty obvious given that he would increase simply based on the fact that a new Zelda game came out, but he's actually really, really cool in this game, moreso than usual. He has a lot of "cool" scenes and he expresses himself far more as a character. Nintendo stuck well to the "Link can never be put into a foolish situation" because he just never is throughout the game. He's a badass. Ganondorf -- If The Wind Waker was Ganon's time to shine as a character, Twilight Princess is his time to shine as an absolute badass. Every scene with him is like "Holy ****" and the final battle in Twilight Princess is easily one of the best final stretches ever. His role in TP is Sephiroth-esque; he's the star of every scene he's in and he's insanely intimidating throughout. If this role is not enough to propel him up to the stars, nothing will. In fact, here's a picture of him in the game -- [Possible Spoilers, maybe?] http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/8572/ganontp2lm6.jpg Zelda -- I think she won't be getting much of a boost, at least in comparison to everyone else. She is overall a pretty tragic character, has a rather interesting scene later on, but I'm not sure I came away feeling amazed with her or anything. This is definitely her best role in the series though. Midna -- She should actually be quite strong. She is very, very big focus of the entire game and she's there from pretty much the beginning. Despite how it initially appeared as though she'd be a Navi 2.0, she's nothing like it. Midna is her own unique, interesting character. I don't think there's ever really been a character in the Zelda series that has had such a large focus like Midna and not being apart of the Link/Ganon/Zelda trifecta. The general consensus on her is that she's easily one of Nintendo's best, so I would imagine that she's well above the fodder line. Not a near-elite, but yeah. That should about cover everything from Twilight Princess. I think Ganondorf really shined throughout the whole game. Outside of Link, he was just insane. It never hit me at first how crazy it was, but his role in the game just puts everything he's ever done to shame. Nintendo delivered as far as he's concerned. Midna, too, should be really interesting to see. Except she is not. At all. Navi was annoying from the very moment you had her nagging you to get out of bed. Midna has no such stigma attached to her. I'm not sure you all understand what being Navi 2.0 actually even means.
It does not mean helping you out with different things -- and she was
far more useful than Navi ever was -- but rather being annoying and
useless. King of Red Lions helped you out in The Wind Waker, but he

| I have only seen Midna in her very first scene,
but she comes off as a complete badass. Unless she drops off
considerably in quality, calling her Navi 2.0 is like calling Tidus a
