We are just having fun, don't get too serious about it. Snake of now will not beat Sephiroth but after MGS4 and SSBB, i think Snake will get a shot at beating Sephiroth.

For anyone keeping up with updates (RPGuy, perhaps?), did you happen to catch when it was that Link hit 1,000 votes on Cloud? I'm curious to see how much the time declines each day -- 1 hour day one, 40 minutes day two, etc.

Overall prediction percentage: 9.96%

What a complete disaster across the board, especially at the top. The -4, -5, -7, -8s, -9, -10s, -12s, -13, -14, -16s, -17s, -19s, -20s, -21s, -22s, -23s and -24s completely failed. Not a single person in any of these tiers got the match correct. Congrats to the two -15s and the -18 that got it right and moved into contention to get a prize. Starting at the -25s, most tiers have at least one person who got the match right but more often than not the prediction percentage is in the single digits. Only three tiers broke 30. They were the 19s and 22s with a prediction percentage of 33.33 and the 23s with a prediction percentage of exactly 30.

Only five people fell off the Top 50 today. indecision81, azuma88, TheBeatles9, jambaman and Gnarkillv88 did not have Mario going out in Round 2 and have fallen off the Top 50.

Another Fourty-two top 50 members also got the match wrong but managed to stay on the Top 50 due to the people around them bombing as badly as they did. ChromeGadget, SavvySam, Penguinonfire, MasterMoltar, Sturmtiger_Four, SocomGirl, chris3131, CaptnNGameMastr, psxfreak1011, BloodFalcon87, Arawok, MegaMeh, Exystence, cloudff72000, Crzyguy9, Ultima89, Supernova36, Luigifan98, FollowTheNoob, pbarkers77, Smell007, Guitarfan1986, N2, OBoxK, kris22ps2, Nntfreak, Zaps, Devourer_Kwi, PyRo813, PKTurnip, andrewcruz, Adam2095, FF7Cloud_Strife, evilhomer14, ddmagnas, daddywill88, elscorcho3200, hero26, robbieseclipse, stackdaddy, VerbalOsmosis and, former... er... current first place, Jakyl25 did not have Mario losing in Round 2 either.

Three of the members of the Top 50 got the match correct. Heroic_Rufus, leadrboardsteve and GameFreak0909 correctly predicted Mario's fall in Round 2. Assuming they are all prize brackets, all three of them are now in position to win one.

Mario actually took the board vote? heh, interesting. seems Link's got some work to do if he wants to be known as the true star of the Nintendo Power Hour! everything else seems to have gone as expected.. though it seems weird that Snake has night trends yet keeps taking Nintendo characters' votes.

If Snake wins here today, it should be really interesting to see tomorrow after Sephiroth is gone. Cloud likely gets most of the Sephiroth votes, but if Link is still really far out ahead of him then, it might be really bad come finals. If Snake is taking in Nintendo votes now, a lot of those should go to Link.

Hm...Cloud and Seph combined beat Link throughout the entire first day, and after 0:45 minutes had passed yesterday. 1:15 into today's match, and they're still 6% behind.

Yesterday at 1:30, Snake lead Sephiroth by 271 votes and ended up losing by 162. At the moment, Snake leads Sephiroth by 574 votes.

Assuming Link finishes with 43%, the FFVII boys will have have to kick it into high gear just to match him. I know Snake has a poor day vote, but I doubt he somehow drops 4.5% from where he is now.

Yeah. I predicted Link to finish with 44% earlier today, but I never stopped to think about how amazing it really was. As crazy as it sounds, at this point, I'd say he has a much better chance of winning the final with 60% than actually losing.

I'm still amazed at how completely dominant Link is. You'd expect that kind of domination from guys like Mario or Sonic, but GameFAQs must have a think for green tights and fairies <_<

You might expect that kind of dominance from Mario or Sonic among gamers and non-gamers alike, but Link is probably one of, if not the most popular character(s) in gaming, be it here or somewhere else. I thought 55% in the final might have been in the "crazy optimistic" area before TP, but the closer we get and with this display right now, I'd say it's got a shot of happening !!

And Link's still stretching out the lead between he and Cloud + Sephiroth. Since I started tracking it...
