How the **** can people still be saying stuff like MM disappointed
and Sonic isn't, that MM has dropped off, and Sonic hasn't? They're
looking to be equal in the x-stats. Because Megaman performed horribly in all his matches up to and including Snake, while Sonic did well on CATS, Luigi and even Vincent now we know the extent to which he boosted...not to mention pulling off the biggest successful comeback ever. So Mega Man and Sonic can be near equals, then Mega Man disappoints in

Which is why it's stupid for anyone to be claiming MM and Crono drops
because of the lack of current games, while acting like Sonic is

Sonic has been great all contest, until he hit Snake. Mega Man has been crap the entire contest. Sonic overcame "OMG! MARIO'S RIVAL!" Crono, in a massive upset. Mega Man couldn't break 70% against Axel. Sonic 2k6 performance> Mega Man 2k6 performance, both in terms of actual xstats, and overall impressions from boths matches. --- 5/18/05 Never forget. Well, Sonic's at 45%. If I did my math right, assuming a constant
Crono, Sonic would have to finish at 45.36 here in order for Crono =
Mega Man. With 6 hours to go, its very likely to happen. So Crono will
probably end up #8 in the Noble Nine. Not the worst for him, but damn
what a fall. From potentially being #5, to only beating Mega Man.
Sigh...he sure could use Chrono Trigger on the Virtual Console right

If being slightly above Mega Man is god-like, I'd love to know what that makes Snake :P No matter how you look at it though, the lower half of the noble nine has been shaken up a bit. It looks like Snake and Mario would go toe-to-toe. Mega Man vs Vincent/Ganondorf? You know you wanna see it! |

Mega Man's doing fine! He fought an underrated Ryu, and two guys on
Kingdom Crack. I've been stubborn in my stance that "Mega Man hasn't

Good thing we weren't talking about Sonic vs. MM eh? Oh, I thought you were responding to the post about Sonic being slightly above MM... But yeah, after this, there's not to much reason to take Vincent > MM. This should be the strongest Vincent we ever see, for a long time. Ganon > MM, however, is much more reasonable. It's still hard for me to believe that Snake has jumped up close to Mario's level based off of a couple of trailers. I'm almost
willing to accept that Mega Man, Crono, and Sonic are finally starting
to suffer from going for so many years without any meaningful releases,
even though it seems preposterous that all three of them would suffer
steep and relatively proportional dropoffs in the same year. Tomorrow's

I understand what BTM is saying.. it's possible that Snake boosted some
and the other three just dropped slightly. Snake being this high is
rather.. shocking, to say the least. but I think that the easiest
answer is usually the right one, and that's that Snake has just boosted

Well...barring an abysmal performance by Samus tomorrow. (Come ON
Samus, plummet!!!) Crono will finish #9 at this rate. I don't even
think Crono is constant anymore...cause I just don't see Mega Man

Before Sonic/Crono, I said that I could handle Sonic losing to Snake if
he still made the final four. And he did, and despite not even giving

And it's quite obvious that we're dealing with a different Snake than we've ever seen before just due to the fact that he actually has a day vote now. I don't know if you want to attribute that to SSBB, but for what it's worth, Metal Gear was horrible the entire Series Contest during the day. I said it before and I'll say it again: If Snake loses to Samus tomorrow, I'll be shocked. Someone please explain least squares to me. =/ Also, I doubt anybody can truly believe that Samus will win tomorrow. Zelda would need to be third or fourth in the x-stats for that to happen, and I doubt anybody can really see that happening. Why the heck do you guys keep insisting it was FFXII that caused
Tifas overperformance? I guarantee you that at least a third of the
people who vote for Samus don't even know shes a woman. Much less that
that pic was of her. Zelda could beat Tifa. Her name was never the less in there, even if we didn't see a more signature picture of her. I'm not saying the picture didn't hurt her all the same, but I think a bigger factor might've been an influx of Final Fantasy fans coming to GameFAQs to get help with the latest installment of FF. I'd think that crowd would be more likely to vote for Tifa then Samus if they took the time to vote in the poll. We could compromise and say it was a near perfect storm for Tifa. If that is why he's boosted so much, then I can definitely see him losing the match tomorrow. The one match he went against Nintendo he didn't perform up to par (Yoshi), granted it was the sprite round, and then there's the fact that Yoshi sucks nuts in SSB anyway. But I think if his new strength is from there, and I wouldn't be surprised as you already mentioned his much improved day vote, then Samus has the potential to rip away a lot of that SSB support, seeing as she's actually been playable in them. --- Portugal.
