I wouldn't count on it. It's harder to gain percentage the high it

this idiocy. and uh MM = Sonic confirmed In the first five minutes of the match, the zelda/samus pic stayed up and the two choices in the poll were 1 and 2. Cjayc fixed it and reset the poll five minutes in, however this is why (quite comically) the updater lists this match as 1 vs. 2. What in the world is going to happen with Snake/Samus tomorrow? Maybe Snake did so lackluster (comparatively) against Yoshi because Yoshi's Nintendo and this new strength really is melee strength? /wildguess. --- Revenge is a dish best served by Z1mZum in the 2k6 Series Guru Contest. |

Yeah, people will vote Snake over Sonic and Mega Man, but the instant
they see his sprite picture, they just repel themselves away. Please,
stop trying to make it like it's a guaranteed auto-bad factor,
especially when he had a clear regular picture in the background. At

Assuming there are 5-8% of the voters who do not know who Snake or
Yoshi is, they will most likely vote the much better Yoshi sprite over
the blue blob. There was a poll here on board 8 that ask user to vote
base on picture only, the score are Snake 3 Yoshi 32. --- I am a Singaporean and hope Snake will do well for the rest of the contest. |

The saddest part of all this is Mario not having a rematch with Snake

You're acting as though we don't have two concrete instances of
characters being overrated from Sprite Snake, and it's not like Ryu is
reliable either. People expected an overperformance from Yoshi there
regardless of what you think, the extent be damned -- and guess what?
It probably happened. I'm tired of doing this with you every round, FF. Enough really is enough. I always try to be as fair as balanced as possible even when discussing Snake, but you have not shown me nearly the same respect. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

Skimmed through the last few topics. Basically it's more arguing about
nothing and people not being smart enough to realize that Turtle is
just trolling. It's not like he's ever denied being a troll, either.
The internet makes me weep for humanity with its denizens' lack of an

Wow. Snake just keeps dominating. So, I guess it was Yoshi/Snake that
was the fluke, and not Squall/Snake, after all... sheesh. Darn that
Least Squares stuff, under-rating Snake by LOADS. :p Why did Snake/Ryu
in 2K3 seem to be legit, then? Maybe it's because Ryu looked like
garbage, as well... Looks like Snake will hit 58% with the night vote...x_X. To compare to Snake vs. Yoshi, Snake hit 60% with the night vote, and ended at 57%. I guess Snake ends with about 55%? It isn't disrespectful to disagree with the things you say, as if I've ever been as curt with you as your posts are with mine. You posted as if the Sprite Round completely forgives Snake's bad performance, and, while is usually does, you can't pretend that most people didn't agree the face pick in the background made it pretty clear. I snapped back at you because it's late and because you wrote off what could be a valid statement to a shaky instance of sprite round underperformance. | I see some Yoshi discussion. I haven't read it, so
this has probably already been covered, but yeah Yoshi is probably
overrated due to the pic - however not by too much, I think. He did
beat Dante after all, and Dante shouldn't be too much weaker than

This contest needs to close in STYLE. Totally whacked out BR results, baby. You know, it just occurred to me that if Snake does outlast Mario and there's any Cloud/Sephiroth SFF (it wouldn't take much), Snake could outlast Sephiroth. Hell...given even relatively minor 'sword hero SFF', he could outlast Cloud. Though that's much more of a stretch. The BR should be quite unpredictable. And I've respected and taken every one of your arguments into account -- so yes, I think I'm sitting damn pretty on my high horse when I get things like, "At least be open to possibilites, despite your love for Snake." And yeah, I didn't say I think Yoshi was going to be that
overrated, it's in my Crew writeup for goodness sake. But a point or
two is hardly out of the question, and makes a few things line up
better -- not that anything is really going to line up that well thanks
to Snake. Even Sonic with 47%, as I illustrated, makes the Blast and

You know, I think many of us are too busy looking toward the future to think about the past, so let's just take a moment and think about this, keeping the past four years of contest history in mind: Solid Snake is going to hit 58% against another Noble 9 character.
