.I'd say LoZ:TP is more anticipated, but between it not gettin' perfect reviews at E3 Yeah, umm, new impressions since E3 -- "You'd be a fool to get the GCN version over the Wii version." Plenty of things can explain this. Shift in voting trends, more voters, random variation, bracket votes, more Snake fans coming to the site... Saying this strength based off a trailer is so ****ing idiotic that it pains me to think that you people think this way. It really does. We have never seen a shift in voting trends do this. Samus > Mario!!!! If she was as originally as popular as Snake, yeah. Mario can't take 100% of Snake's new fanbase when he gets it. Even letting Snake get 20% is enough to slip to him in a rematch. To believe otherwise is...well, Turtle-esque. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

It will be interesting to see how he fares against Samus next round

BT made up statistics that don't exist and have no way of being proven. BT also never said the statistics were official and set in stone. TuRtLe ~~~ Pretty much out of the contest lol x-stats |

| If Snake overperforms or underperforms to any
unusual exent (moreso than we've seen) on Samus, then I say it confirms
his new Nintendo fanbase. He will either bury Samus equally during the

That was my point that Snake would fall close to what he got on

most, if not all of his boost from SSB:B Turtle, you didn't listen AT ALL. Mario can't SFF Snake like that. No one can SFF anyone like that. For all that he SFFed Samus, the woman still broke 40% on him. Once Snake is in SSBB, that's it. Mario may SFF 60, 70, 80% of that new fanbase away, but as long as there's at least a reasonable fraction of new fans that stick with Snake, he wins. And if you don't believe that it's possible for a newcomer to supplant a significant number of votes from the established powerhouse in a SFF match where the SFFer has all the intangibles? One need look no further than Snake/Raiden. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

The online bit is still iffy...they havent officially announced it to
definitely be there so they dont get burned to bad if it doesnt go

I'm arguing that either version of LoZ:TP aren't THAT much more anticipated than SSBB. Well, my point was that he would do worse on Mario than he'd be
projected to. He'd actually be indirectly stronger, as opposed to that

I'm not arguing that. I'm arguing that either version of LoZ:TP
aren't THAT much more anticipated than SSBB. That's not a shot at LoZ
though, Nintendo simply has probably the two most anticipated games
here. I have no idea how one could think it isn't more anticipated right now than SSBB. Using E3 as an example of it getting not so perfect reviews is pretty much insigificant after everyone has been giving it glowing impressions since playing the final build of the game. Good Lord this match makes Crono look awful. Barring an absolutely titanic collapse from Samus, Crono is at the bottom of the Noble Nine. That didn't take long <_< --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

I'm not trying to question the idea that LoZ:TP > SSBB in terms of
hype, either, but it's ludicrous to think it'd be by lots when SSBM is
the biggest classic since LoZ:OoT and Solid Snake making it into SSBB
is the biggest news since the first trailer of LoZ:TP (if not

something trivial and having nothing to do with the current argument.
TP is more hyped simply because it is coming out next week as opposed
to SSB:B which will be sometime next fall. If you were here for E3, you
would have noticed WAY more hype for SSB:B, and I think in the weeks
leading up to SSB:B the place will be more hyped for it than it is

From Karma Hunter I will now use my Turtle-stats to assert this somehow proves Cloud > Link Turtle-stats? All I argued was that MM was constant, and it looks like he is, or even a little higher. My oracle for today was 54.5% because I wussed out a bit. From Karma Hunter Although, yeah, that's the other possibility I forgot to mention! FFXII-influx FTW? <_< By the time Cloud/Link go at it, the FF12 influx that let Tifa go 50/50 with Samus will have worn off for the most part, and be completely replaced with TP hype.
