WRONG!!!! The average voter (and even the average bracketeer) know nothing about past contests outside of Link and FF7 characters being dominant. What the hell? This has nothing to do with the "average" voters. I specifically mentioned voters who are aware of the contest happenings. And given the sheer popularity of this contest, it's foolish to think that there is nobody out there keeping track of the contests like we do. I didn't say ALL of the voters. Besides, it only takes a mere chunk of voters to make an impact in a close match... I don't know why people always swear that every voter out there is a robot or something. The afterschool vote starts before 3. I'm not sure why the 3pm myth
persists, but go look at Claire/Kairi, Samus/Tifa, or Crono/Master

I know about contest history and how Snake lost to Mega Man twice, but
I still voted for the Blue Bomber. Mega Man's games are the cream of
awesomesauce, and I'll be damned if I ever vote against him (except in

Hmm.... now that I've looked at that Master Chief match again, I'm not
so convinced Crono got all that much worse with the day vote this year.
He only lost 4.5% to Bowser. That's a lot less than 8.5%. In fact, that
would project Master Chief to pull a comeback on Bowser on the level of
Bowser's comeback against Snake. Actually, measuring from the end of
the first hour, Crono only dropped 1% less than Frog, and MC had
linkage against Frog. If Crono's day vote truly tanked this year...
then Crono would now lose the day vote to Frog 2k5 and MC is now
capable of doing to Bowser what he did to Crono. So Crono's day vote
ability probably changed, but I don't think it was too drastic. --- "........!" ~Magus |

From Kaxon The afterschool vote starts before 3. I'm not sure why the 3pm myth persists, but go look at Claire/Kairi, Samus/Tifa, or Crono/Master Chief to name a few. The half hour before 3 is when the vote starts shifting from school hours to after-school vote. It's the same as the morning. You don't suddenly have 5% shifts over the course of a 5 minute update, it takes a while for the trend to get in gear. At any rate, this match has the potential to be a close one. Although Crono has alot less time to work with than MM did against Sonic last year. TuRtLe ~~~ 81/88 in the contest. Like I said, Crono's day vote was never "all that", but it's more
apparant when he goes up against day vote kings like Nintendo and KH2
characters. Same with Knuckles. He's always been up against completely lopsided characters with terrible days and amazing nights. If he were to go up against Sonic (barring Zero/Mega Man like funnyness) I'd fully expect Sonic to manhandle him. TuRtLe ~~~ 81/88 in the contest. I really doubt Snake is going to lose at this rate. I have been
attempting to put his percentages as comically high as possible in my
predictions throughout the contest, and he has outdone them every
single time. I chose 53%+ as my prediction for the last match because
that's what Crono 2k5 was expected to get on Snake 2k5, and he STILL
easily outdid it. You can bring up Mario/Crono III all you like, but let's not forget that's probably the strongest Crono we've seen in these things even outside of that match. Based on this contest alone, Snake looks the best out of anyone by FAR. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

And I'm tempted to take Samus > Snake > Sonic > Zelda as the
result of the next 3 matches. Of course, Snake probably won't be able
to match Tifa's percent on Smaus resulting in a whole new meaning for

How much Mega mightve dropped scares me. If it was a lot, than you
can't attribute a lot more than usual to Snake's "Power" in 2K6 (not a
lot of Brawl/MGS4 boost). It just doesn't seem like he shouldve boosted
THAT much.... so Mega mustve really fallen? Snake vs Sonic would be a match within 51-49, I think. But what would you guys think Sonic vs Snake, if it happened, would be LAST year? By how much?? I'd almost agree with you Karma Hunter, about Snake looking strongest,
in fact, I pretty much do. But this is Sonic looking to beat Crono, and
that's impressive in its own right, too. Sonic's still been impressive
in each of his matches, just not quite as much as Snake. --- Revenge is a dish best served by Z1mZum in the 2k6 Series Guru Contest. |

Um, if you're referring to me, BT, I never thought Crono could win the
afterschool vote, only that Sonic would get the same percentage during
it he was getting earlier at best, at least until 6 or so, when I think

Sonic just exclaimed "YOU'RE ****IN' DONE SON!!!" With that said, I'm taking the winner today over Solid Snake. Granted, Mega Man beat Sonic AND got 48.65% on Crono last year while Solid got 55.33% on Mega Man yesterday...but, while I think Solid gained since last year, there's no doubt Mega Man dropped as well. Solid VS Sonic/Crono should be close, no doubt, but I'm giving Sonic (or Crono) the edge to get to the Battle Royal. --- Diddy did it. Diddy did it. DAMMIT! What didn't Diddy do?! |
