I have to leave now (stupid school) and when I comeback I hope Crono's lead is less than 2000 votes.....

The largest comeback came from under a 2500 vote defecit, correct? By morning crono's should be at least a few hundred votes over 2500.

Vote totals are a lot higher this year though, so bigger vote comebacks are possible. Plus, because starting the poll three hours earlier allows slightly bigger comebacks as well (because there's not really a second night vote to withstand... those votes are already there at the beginning of the poll).

From Keno316
So what's been the biggest swing Sonic's been able to accomplish in the past?

I don't even think Sonic has ever been up against a Night heavy character like Crono. At least one with any strength.

Looking back at Knuckles/Magus, Magus had a 646 vote lead before losing by 1756. That's a 2402 vote swing with similar characters. I think Sonic's capable of that.

Gordon Freeman finally won, but somehow, the universe survived... thus allowing me to tell said universe about how I was owned by NClark128.

Knuckles/Magus would be a decent basis for comparison. Unless Crono can get this over 4-5000, I still say Sonic has a very realistic shot at winning.

Because 4000 vote swings can be taken for granted!

Honestly, it's over. Crono has built up a lead of nearly 1700 votes in two and a half hours, and he still has the rest of the night vote to look forward to.

Assuming all the "Crono has this won" people are right, now I just need to see either Crono or Snake beat Samus (or Zelda) and I'll be happy. Go Crono!

I fail to see how it's over when Sonic has a ridiculous strong day vote against somebody who lost 5% to Captain Falcon to look forward to.

Well, I'm not liking Crono's chances against Snake next round personally. Snake seems like what Mario was like last year.

IF its not 50-50 I see that one going for Snake and could go as high as 52-48.

I do think that Snake can take the whole bracket though.

And, Sonic went even with Luigi, who lost the after school vote to both Zero and Kirby. That's hardly the mark of someone "ridiculously" strong with the day vote.

Lead's 2004 now.

Also, the votals for both have spiked since 2 updates ago and Sonic's back to getting over 200 per update while Crono's pulling over 275 from under 200 per update for both. n_n

Disregard that statement about the votals. For some reason, the updater's updating every 10 minutes, instead of 5.

At this time Knuckles started stalling Magus, Sonic has to do the same. Allow Crono no more than 100 votes in the next hour.

After which, he can begin the comeback.

And Crono regains all but one of those lost votes back with that update. Despite that, Sonic wins his first 15 minute update by 1 vote. (Lead is back up to 2056)

Also, I'd just like to say here that the updater hasn't updated for 20 minutes now.

Smurf is actually right about this. Not good for Crono

So what's been the biggest swing Sonic's been able to accomplish in the past?

In the last Sonic v CT match, At one point Knuckles swung 3400 votes.
Keeping in mind that the CT day vote was stronger than and votals are higher now.... so yeah.
