And Sonic is hardly Master Chief. He swung a net of 325 votes
against Mega Man last year (1075 down to 0 back up to 750), which
doesn't exactly inspire confidence. True. I don't like this match being over so quickly any more then everyone else... but this is over. Crono hasn't even hit his peak yet (that comes in another hour or so), and sonic is at his lowest around the same time. --- Currently listening to: A Twist in the Myth, Amputechture, Deus Ex Machinae, Black Wings of Destiny, Let Mortal Heroes Sing your Fame, and others. |

Scratch that, 1075 -> 250 -> 750, same net; Sonic actually
took the lead during the night, not during his day vote comeback.
That's what I get for sorting, not actually looking through the match! Heh, it's still not looking good for sonic. Even if we were dealing with master chief here, I still wouldn't give him a chance in hell of coming back. By the time the after school vote hits Crono's lead will be way too high for anyone to overcome. --- Currently listening to: A Twist in the Myth, Amputechture, Deus Ex Machinae, Black Wings of Destiny, Let Mortal Heroes Sing your Fame, and others. |

If tranny's projection is correct, a 2700 vote comeback is very
possible. We've already seen a 2400 vote comeback that ended 7 votes
short, and that was when vote totals were MUCH lower. Crono should
probably be the favorite at this point, but it's far from over. --- ....TCELES B HSUP |

Static Votes (Votes that a character will get no matter who the
oponent) will be very essential in the early stages of the battle
royale. And this is why Sizzeph is gonna pizzown Clizzoud. I am far too white to ever to that again. --- New York Mets: 97-65: At least we had a better run than the Yankees! # 1 Fan of the best video game character, Squall Leonhart <3 |

Sonic should do well between the morning and after-school vote, don't
forget. Also, Crono hit his peak very quickly against Auron (2am
exactly) if that means anything. True, Sonic doesn't have very good
chances. But if Crono has already peaked and shrinks a tiny bit in
percentage from now until the morning, I don't think 2700 is too much
to overcome and in fact would expect it. --- Take off every sig. |
transience | Posted 11/9/2006 10:37:19 PM | message detail |
it'll probably be closer to 3000 since Crono should theoretically pick
up some steam when the overnight vote hits. Sonic's got just about no
hope here, but I wouldn't say it's 100% certain that Crono wins this.
not yet. let's see if Crono completely falls apart like he did on
Bowser - you know, the same Bowser that went even with Leon Kennedy and
lost to Kirby big in the daytime. --- xyzzy |
andaca | Posted 11/9/2006 10:37:41 PM | message detail |
Yeah, but that's a 2700 vote differential at 7:00. Sonic isn't likely to even begin to make any real headway until the school vote hits much later, at which point we're going to be looking at a four of five thousand vote deficit. |
transience | Posted 11/9/2006 10:39:17 PM | message detail |
eh, Crono lost some percentage against CF during
the school hours. while it sometimes functions as a second night vote,
it doesn't always work that way. --- xyzzy |
Xuxon | Posted 11/9/2006 10:41:35 PM | message detail |
He won't make any headway votes-wise, but if he's at 2700 at 7am, he
should at the very least keep things at the same differential and in
fact I'd expect it to drop some before 2:30. --- Take off every sig. |

eh, Crono lost some percentage against CF during the school hours.
while it sometimes functions as a second night vote, it doesn't always
work that way. Unfortunately, it's a lot easier to cut percentage than it is to cut votes. Auron did around 4% worse during school than after, yet he was still able to reduce Crono's percentage. That won't work quite so well for Sonic. --- "Luckily, I brought my smart sword. It won't hurt anyone 'friendly'. In fact, it makes them talk!" - Princess Zelda |

Sonic doesn't have to wait until the afterschool vote... he will
benefit from the morning vote. Yes, Crono will regain a little ground
with the during-school vote, but that's not as big as the morning vote. That's not really true. Votals/15 minute from a bit after 8 to a bit before 3 are generally around the same numberj on school days, so it depends on how much of that time you want to classify as morning vs after school. If you give me a minute, I'll make a handy chart. --- Mustache...and green... http://www.rit.edu/~zmb0386/Top100.pdf |

What matters is what Sonic can do in the morning... I fully expect
Crono's lead to be growing during school hours, but Sonic may cut off
more in the morning than Crono adds in the middle of the day. --- ....TCELES B HSUP |

Those fmv's were nice and all from what I played of it, but I never
finished CT on playstation. It just seemed pointless given the annoying
load times. My playstation seemed slightly slower then usual at
loading... but that was something else. I was literally waiting through
minutes long load times between battles sometimes. There is no excuse
for a super nintendo game to run so terribly on a playstation. --- Currently listening to: A Twist in the Myth, Amputechture, Deus Ex Machinae, Black Wings of Destiny, Let Mortal Heroes Sing your Fame, and others. |

And like I said earlier, I won't count Sonic out unless Crono is up by 10,000 in the morning. MC was down 2500 against DK, but he ended up winning with over 1000 IIRC, so he technically swung ~3500 votes if memory serves. It doesn't work that way though. You need to factor in how much the voting patterns have to swing. Basically if mc was behind by 3500 votes, his comeback wouldn't have been enough to win because the vote swing wouldn't have been large enough. --- Currently listening to: A Twist in the Myth, Amputechture, Deus Ex Machinae, Black Wings of Destiny, Let Mortal Heroes Sing your Fame, and others. |
