I think that's pretty much a fact, one we knew before this match even
happened. (2k2 aside, no idea what's up with him there.) the question
is how much - some people would have you believe he's worth 40, 41% on
BL, which is possible but really improbable. --- xyzzy |

Did Sonic have anything between 2k4 and 2k5 that could've caused a
rebound? Was Sonic Rush released in that time frame? Snake's rebound
came due to MGS 3.....but will Megaman have anything to help him jump

The pictures certainly haven't been kind to Megaman this year though.
Not one single badass pic or even him firing his arm cannon! --- ertyu and VeghEsther are truly proof that there is much about this world we still do not understand. |

For the fun of it...using least squares and using the most recent
values of Samus, Rikku, Tifa, and Jill Valentine, Samus is pegged at
37.75%. That's even worse than trying to make x-stats for Sp2K5,
though. :p For Zelda's estimated x-stat, using Zelda, Terra, Kerrigan,
Aeris, KOS-MOS, Yuna, Joanna, Chun Li, and *phew* 2K3 Lara Croft,
Zelda's at... 35.5% on BL. Take out Joanna, Terra, and Kerrigan, and
Zelda's at 34.5%. Take out Aeris and Lara on top of that (values pulled
from 2K3), and Zelda's at 33.0%, heh. No matter what, though, if Zelda
can't even be estimated at 36% with the Zelda/Terra and Joanna/Yuna
flukes, that's a sign that Zelda didn't grow much, if at all. Of

I sincerely hope that Mega Man hasn't dropped, and this is all
Snake...if not (more than likely), I hope that Mega Man comes back up

Hmm...let's do some things with X-Stats, based on Snake's current percentage (56.11%). Based on a constant Sora from 2004, Snake is at 36.04 on BL (omg Snake drop). Based on a constant Gordon Freeman from 2005, Snake is at 39.34 on BL (beats Mega 2k5 and very close to Crono 2k5). Based on a constant Ryu from 2005, Snake is at 40.7 on BL, above Crono 2k5 but still a point or so under Samus. Oh, and based on a constant Mega Man? Snake is at 44.19 of course, beating Mario 2k5 without too much of a sweat. =D Snake will definitely fall a bunch (though he doesn't seem to be losing a LOT of ground with the morning vote), but he definitely looks better right now no matter how you slice it. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

I think using a constant GF is about as good as we can do. and if he
really is nonlinear, even that's bad. normally I'd say Ryu, but that
puts Mega Man at like 31-32% and I'm not having that. --- xyzzy |

Oh, I guess I forgot to adjust Ryu down for Snake/Bowser...but that doesn't make Snake look as good, but whatever! Oh, and any of those comparisons aside from the constant Mega Man make Megs look like complete ass. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

I guess I have to look at the bright side. Fanboyistic Analyze of tomorrow's match, If KH2 didn't make Sora a beast, then why would it make Auron to do 7% better than expected? I'm sure that KH23 did help him a little and maybe even a help from FFXII but 7%? We already knew that Bowser was overrated. No character have a better reason to boost than Vincent. AC, DoC and he wasn't a new character this year. Look at what AC and a few other things did for Tifa, she might get 2nd in this years ROFLMAO X-Stats. 2%(sonic was expted to get 54% but got 52% on Vincent) boost is the least I expect from all that. I can't see that new super Mario Bros made Luigi weaker this year, and how did he then beat two characters that was stronger than him last year if he got weaker (Sonic got 60.2% on Luigi, almost 1% better than expected) And what about Ganondorf? It doesn't matter how much he was underrated since he still won over Auron with a good deal. Now if Crono beats Sonic, then Auron will end p stronger than Ganondorf. In other words, Sonic wins tomorrow. --- Supporter of Megaman and Sonic |

Mega Man -still- hasn't won a single update...no, not even by the minute in the opening five minutes. Looking at Snake/Mega Man 2K4, it looks like Mega Man gained about 1% with the afterschool vote...I couldn't tell you for sure if it was a school day, but seeing Mega Man take off at about the 12:00 mark (15:00 by 2K6 poll standards) seems to suggest there indeed school that day. Mega Man looks to be cutting into the percentage slowly with the school-votes, but it probably won't amount to much..it looks like Solid Snake will be ending at 54-55% today. You guys are just being worry-warts! Mega Man will look fine once Zelda wins the main bracket! Fix'd! I'm starting to become happy about this result, though. The "my bracket is officially dead, dead" shock is wearing off, and the Metal Gear Solid series is quite fantastic. It's also cool that this only makes Yoshi look just that much better. --- Revenge is a dish best served by Z1mZum in the 2k6 Series Guru Contest. |

Wow. I was thinking Snake would win with around 52% or so, not in a
slaughter like this. If there was any SFF in Snake/Squall... Squall

It's a three-way race between Mega Man, Squall, and Auron this year for
me. Ganondorf has a good shot at taking it after TP too, though I still

Based on a constant Snake Sora is at 29.71 on BL, a full point or so
above his highest value ever (2004). And he'll be going higher after MM

Wow, I kinda expected Snake to take this one easily, but I was thinking
52-53% easily. But 56%?! This is amazing. Snake just pulled a Mario on
Mega Man! He's not even losing much ground with the morning vote so
