About as weird as Bowser > Samus last year... Don't forget Kirby > Samus! ...Hey, Samus actually benefited from her Zero **** pic - Tifa > Luigi > Kirby > Samus, yet Samus > Tifa! Man, this is all just reminding me of last year too much. Last year: Samus VS Mario was the match debated to determined who'd probably win. Samus was statistically favored in that one. As the board favored her. Mario got through a shroom induced run through that contest, absolutely destroying all his opposition. Samus did similarly...but didn't do as good as people hoped in the match right before Mario/Samus. Mario then destroyed her. This year: Zelda and Samus both destroyed their opposition. But while Samus stumbled in her last match before the decisive match, Zelda is STILL looking like a monster. What does this say? .........That I have no idea if this is a solid position or not...but who cares. GOOOO ZELDA!!!! --- "Opinions are like butts, little girl. The one thing is, we can still have an exciting finals if Samus wins. But if the NN is broken by Zelda, I wouldn't be too surprised if she just tanks against the male winner. Who HONESTLY believes Zelda can compete with any of the 4 remaining males? |

Zelda by hour: 00:00 - 60.63% 01:00 - 58.89% looks like she'll hold up decently against Yuna overnight and gain a percent or two during the day. I'd expect it to end about where it is right now. --- xyzzy |
TehMissingLink | Posted 11/7/2006 11:12:55 PM | message detail |
From 7:00 AM EST until the end of the poll, Yuna gained 0.84% (Roll),
0.54% (Joanna Dark), and 1.81% (Chun-Li). Seems pretty unimpressive
given the competition. From 7:00 AM EST until the end of the poll, Zelda gained 1.73% (Carmen Sandiego), 2.88% (Terra Branford), and 1.89% (Aeris Gainsborough). I'm thinking that Zelda should get a nice 2 - 3% here against Yuna, which should hopefully put her above, or near, 60% by the end. I'm think that around 57% is her floor before the morning vote arrives, it'd be really good if she could hold to around 58% though. --- "Let's face it: the princess Zelda has always been a symbol of sexual desire." |
transience | Posted 11/7/2006 11:16:39 PM | message detail |
that's about even to me. Aeris lost the day vote to a freaking CT
character and anyone can win the day vote against FF6. I think Zelda
wins the day vote by a percent or so, but not a whole lot more than
that. Yuna's got a decent day vote, unlike everything Zelda's gone
against so far. --- xyzzy |
transience | Posted 11/7/2006 11:21:13 PM | message detail |
hmm, I'd think that Samus/Rikku would be a good guide and Samus gained
about 1.6% with that. maybe Zelda will do a little better than I
thought. --- xyzzy |
TehMissingLink | Posted 11/7/2006 11:21:27 PM | message detail |
Eh, I think Zelda is definitely going to get more than a percent. I
think 2% is at least what she's going to get here. Her day vote is
actually in the "good" category; it isn't just because of her opponents. --- "Let's face it: the princess Zelda has always been a symbol of sexual desire." |
TehMissingLink | Posted 11/7/2006 11:30:54 PM | message detail |
...I just realized that these vote totals are pretty crazy. This match
has 21,243 at the 2:25 mark. It'd be pretty awesome if they kept up! 2:25 Zelda/Aeris -- 17,217 Samus/Zelda -- 21,340 We need no other examples. >> --- "Let's face it: the princess Zelda has always been a symbol of sexual desire." |

From transience hmm, I'd think that Samus/Rikku would be a good guide and Samus gained about 1.6% with that. maybe Zelda will do a little better than I thought. You also have to remember that the strength difference between Samus/Rikku is much larger than Zelda/Yuna, so you'd expect the Samus/Rikku trends to be a little more exaggerated. though really, after seeing Samus completely bomb against Tifa I
don't think there's a single person in here that expects Samus to win
with 60%+. not even EC. WHAT?! Samus is curb stompin' that ho. I've never backed down on that one, she's taking it to Zelda harder than she took it to Ganon, Zelda > Ganon never made much sense to me at all, and today's match is going as thought, I could use a legit match like todays, or a completly zonky one like yesterdays to determine my feelings on that match... I'll stick with the legit one. As I already said, I'm not going to draw any conclusions from Tifa/Samus. If Samus bombs again with a normal pic, well then hey, it was cool, and if she dominates, you better believe I'm adjusting Tifa down. Sooo...who's more popular, Zelda or Ganondorf? Of course, we'll have to
wait to see what the after-school vote does to get a slightly better
idea...I'd imagine Zelda ends at 58-59%. Man...it's strange how Yuna's
close to Aeris these days. Considering Samus beat Ganondorf with 60%
who beat Yuna by more (though a slightly weaker Yuna) than Zelda will
manage, Samus shouldn't have too much trouble next around, assuming she
has a suit...or, without the suit, if you think her pictures don't ever
mean a thing. --- Sign the Petition for more stats in the GameFAQs Contests here: http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=7&topic=30693799 |

HOW BOUT 'DAT ZELDA MORNING VOTE. --- Hooray Beer, Hooray Proxies! |
Haste_2 | Posted 11/8/2006 7:53:08 AM | message detail |
It's a school day. There is no morning vote as we know it on the
non-school days. The afterschool vote (and the short early morning
before-school vote) is a lot like a condensed day vote, though, while
the votes during school seem to be kinda like a night vote. --- Sign the Petition for more stats in the GameFAQs Contests here: http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=7&topic=30693799 |
HoorayProxies | Posted 11/8/2006 7:55:28 AM | message detail |
And all Zelda did was stop Yuna from gaining % during that time, she
hasn't used it to her advantage at all. Isn't Zelda (all things
related, not just her), supposed to be the king of the morning vote? I
seriously doubt Zelda is going to do much of anything with the
afterschool vote. --- Hooray Beer, Hooray Proxies! |
transience | Posted 11/8/2006 7:55:48 AM | message detail |
Yuna's one of the stars of this contest. she was the definition of
midcarder to a lot of us and she's looking to be worth about 29% or so
now. Yuna/Tidus looks like it could be a match these days despite Tidus
doing 10% better on Ganondorf. --- xyzzy |
HoorayProxies | Posted 11/8/2006 7:57:36 AM | message detail |
I would've taken Yuna > Tidus pre-contest, and I certainly would now
as well. Pre-contest it was about 50/50 to me, but I figure why not go
with the upset in something like that, the only thing that scares me is
Tidus' potential to SFF her. --- Hooray Beer, Hooray Proxies! |

vote, though. It's clear Yuna's better with the day than Aeris...not
gobs better, though. --- Sign the Petition for more stats in the GameFAQs Contests here: http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=7&topic=30693799 |

Zelda hasn't exactly impressed with the day vote this year either, at
least not anymore than Yuna has. I fully expect Yuna to start
increasing again soon, the day vote to go even, or slightly favor
Zelda, and then after that back to Yuna. I'm hoping it goes down to
56%, though that may be a little to optimistic. --- Hooray Beer, Hooray Proxies! |
