Mega Man vs Solid Snake has a chance to be more interesting depending on if MM really fell as much as his first few matches might've suggested.

Speaking of which, assuming Samus does end up winning this - which seems likely despite Tifa's great showing - what would that say for the probable Crono vs Samus match? If Tifa can get 48-49% against Samus could Crono get 55-57%?

All this says is that I'm liking the chances of Crono > Samus even more than I was before.

Granted right now its looking like it could be Crono, Snake or Sonic to go there.

Crono ain't breaking 55% on Samus by a longshot, but he's got a GREAT shot at winning. There's no way that Auron loses to Tifa in my mind, and Crono did better on him than Samus will on Tifa...both conceivably benefitted from FFXII's release, so it all comes down to how much the ZSS picture is doing.

I like Crono's chances.

lol,if samus is letting Tifa almost beat her,she has no chance in hell against crono.

Down to 17 votes. A part of me wants to see Samus be the one to break the Noble Nine, just because no one would have ever thought she'd be the one to do it.

lol.it would be great if samus is beat here

the favorite to win the whole thing defeated by a non noble niner.
Karma Hunter | Posted 11/7/2006 2:59:47 AM | message detail
And for the curious, the record in terms of votes for a sustained lead a non-Noble has held on a Noble is 60 votes. The peak percentage in said lead was 51.04%.

Tifa will easily break the first record, though it would certainly be something if she could get the second as well.

If Samus's morning vote is strong enough to make progress, then that would be a pretty good indicator that Tifa is about as bad as Rikku with the day vote, and that would pretty much mean a Samus victory.

However, if Tifa can keep Samus to getting about 48-49% with the morning vote, she has a chance. I don't actually think that will happen though...

But can we really call for a morning vote on either character here. I mean Samus is Nintendo which does well with morning but can we say Kingdom Hearts Tifa wouldnt have advantage on anyone else. I mean seeing it go close in the morning wouldnt suprise me at all.

When I calculated how the match would end up, I had to caluclate the totals for 6:30 too. I wonder how close they'll be to the actual result.

I came up with 17,361 vs. 17,597

Oh, yeah. Tifa lost the morning vote to an MGS character. It's a shame, because Samus' day vote isn't that good. If we were looking at Vincent here, he could win this match.

She was. She's looking for Cloud throughout the game, and all but one of her scenes are unavoidable. Her role is decent, though it's no Auron.

She was. She's looking for Cloud throughout the game, and all but one of her scenes are unavoidable.

I remember in the first game Cloud was looking for Aeris throughout the game, but I don't remember Tifa at all.

In the Wiki FF Cameo section:

On Destiny Islands, the player meets younger versions of Tidus, Wakka (both from Final Fantasy X), and Selphie (from Final Fantasy VIII). In Traverse Town, the player encounters Squall Leonhart (under the alias of "Leon"; from Final Fantasy VIII), as well as Aerith Gainsborough, Cid Highwind and Yuffie Kisaragi from Final Fantasy VII. Rikku from Final Fantasy X and Irvine Kinneas from Final Fantasy VIII were both originally set to make cameo appearances, but were replaced by Yuffie and Wakka respectively. Cloud Strife and Sephiroth (both from Final Fantasy VII) make appearances in Olympus Coliseum, where the player can fight them in the tournaments.

No mention of Tifa.
