The picture can only be blamed for this for so much -- if it can even
be blamed at all. Bowser was overrated, what, 2 percent and some change
against Snake? Assuming he didn't drop any this year (and he might
have, looking at Luigi). There's no way ZSS has even near the effect of
Solid ****. Heck, Snake getting a MGS4 picture in his Squall match
should have hurt him more than ZSS should hurt Samus. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

I really don't think Samus has fallen so far to be at the bottom tier
-- this is her first disappointing match since Mario. A disappointment
against Zelda could confirm some things, though. She certainly doesn't look to be the 'lock' that many considered her to be at the beginning of the contest, though. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

There's no way I'm letting this decide how I feel about Samus...yet.
The percentages will be changing a hell of a lot by the end of the
match, though Tifa has certainly impressed anyway -- she's certainly
going to do better on Samus today than she did on Sonic last
year...hell, Tifa's certainly going to do better on Samus today than
SONIC did in 2k4. Both of those are happening, barring some AMAZING
swings... ...Tifa's got good reason to boost from last year and Samus had reason to under-perform a bit, but even still, there's no way Tifa doesn't come out of this looking like gold. --- Diddy did it. Diddy did it. DAMMIT! What didn't Diddy do?! |

Man. It looks like Tifa would be on pace to almost take the lead right when morning hits. In other words, she'll probably just miss it. --- ertyu and VeghEsther are truly proof that there is much about this world we still do not understand. |

Even if Tifa wins here, Starcraft > Wind Waker will take the cake for the biggest upset in history, considering: 1: No one save the diehard Starcraft fans (ie: Me) thought Starcraft would even make it out of there. 2: It was an 8-seed PC game going vs. a Gamcube Link game 3: Starcraft was able to rally from a total much smaller than the current lead in such a short period of time. Say what you will about Tifa/Samus, 60/40 Samus would put Tifa around her levels. I doubt few people would've ever thought Starcraft would pull 40% on a Zelda game, much less win. |

Assuming Tifa ends at 48.73% and using Samus 2k5, here's the Limit Division on BL: Tifa Lockheart - 40.63 Princess Peach - 27.58 Jill Valentine - 27.58 Sheena Fujibayashi - 20.94 The Boss - 20.68 Ivy Valentine - 19.35 Celes Chere - 16.09 Princess Daisy - 9.32 So basically, Tifa > Crono, Peach and Jill > Leon 2k5, and Sheena = Kratos. Celes is still lower than Terra though. <_< --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

| Okay, people are being a little ridiculous now.
This isn't a picture factor on par with Snake's sprite; if Tifa's
benefitting here it's by like a percent or so. And I was a proponent
of ZSS hurting Samus before the match. The rest is just these
character's strengths and whatever other factors you think may be at

should be practically non-existent by the end of this contest. It isn't

And while blaming this match on the picture is an "easy" way out, it's hard to accept it doing this much when it isn't even a bad
picture. It's hard to believe that Samus has such varying strength
simply if you remove her suit. It may be playing a factor, but it isn't

It's hard to imagine what would need to happen for all of this to end up looking normal. Sora gets 46% on Mega Man, Auron gets 45.5% against Crono, Vincent gets 48% on Sonic, Tifa is getting 49% on Samus...
