Even if it's the case that Samus gets less people than normal to
recognize her wiht this pic in the day, she'll still win it and end
with a better % than this. The thing I'm thinking here is that this
isn't all picture (it never is), and that she's going to legitimately
rank lower than she has before. She (like Crono) seems to be a
character that thrives in years with lower voter turnouts. --- If this post was overly verbose, that means I tried very hard to not call you an idiot. If you mark someone for flaming/trolling, you probably deserved it. |

expectations (i.e. Samus > Crono > Mega Man > Sonic >

Barely beat Sonic. And, iirc, there were some hours of day vote
missing from that match that would likely have reversed the match.
Also, the game being brought into question as being a major contributor
of her strength was already out at the time. That was Sonic/Tidus you're thinking of. That said, I would think it's safe to say Samus wouldn't have beat Sonic if SSBM wasn't out -- not even the SSB series, just SSBM. --- Diddy did it. Diddy did it. DAMMIT! What didn't Diddy do?! |

Maybe its is all legit and KH2F really exists. Kairi and Axel really
are that powerful. Sora, Tifa and Auron boosted up the ying yang. Aeris
boosted as well, and Zelda boosted even MORE making her > Samus all
the more likely. And Auron super increasing means Crono is still going

Snake whipped post-KH2 Squall. And Mega Man beat the guy with the biggest benefit of the KH2 boost in Sora. Therefore you still can't draw any damn conclusions. | Ok, lets see..first of all. Tifa staying close depends on the morning vote. Last year, Sonic completely dominated her in it. Samus doesn't have the morning vote of Sonic, and this picture could prove lethal. I expect Tifa to go down some perhaps, but..if she follows Vincent's trend on Sonic, who barely lost % during morning vote, this could turn into a nice match. Vincent was actually doing very well in day vs sonic as well, gaining %, and he wasn't in KH2..Tifa who is in it might gain some % on Samus during that time. Nintendo characters tend to do well during after school vote, but..will Samus picture be well received, and will it be enough to stop the KH2 afterschool vote which so far has dominated even N9 members..MM and Crono. I really don't know what to make of this match. Also, Zelda..she has a shot I think, but Zelda and Tifa were close last year. Tifa is doing this well, then she must have boosted a ton, or Samus was overrated. Tifa might be stronger or equal to Zelda this year. |

We're just getting out of the hours now that have typically favored Nintendo. This was...unexpected. But at least this could mean a lot more fun
during the BR! It feels like we have no idea who could make it at this
point, and if we thought the BR was unpredictable before the contest,
this match seems to imply that anything is still possible. In the elite 8, 6 are still considered contenders for the win. Now that's how a contest should go. Sure, some may flop, but at this point the arguments are there and all at least somewhat plausible. Oh, and now I'm just waiting for Yuna to pull some sort of miracle upset. Female bracket boring my ass!
