It would also require Ganon 2k6 to = Ganon 2k5, and for Ganon 2k5 to not be underrated, which is unlikely at this point given Yuna and Auron's success.

Whether Ganon is underrated or not is meaningless, as Auron lost to Ganon, which would make him underrated here. The better Auron does, the better Ganon, and thusly Samus look.

Yay...I'm glad to see that Auron is probably gonna outperform Bowser. Anything to make Alucard look better, heh. Eh, and it's making Master Chief look decent, too...I think today's match is proving that Master Chief did indeed gain in popularity from Halo 2, and that DK also indeed boosted some from the Nintendo Boost...still not at what the 2K5 stats say, of course.

Auron is probably only going to continue increasing for a long while, and already he's projected to beat Ganon from last year. I can't see him turning around a 54.1-45.9 defecit into a safe victory on Ganon in one year, let alone even going 50/50 with him. Crono is so screwed.... against Sonic

Am i correct to say Kh2 is the biggest boost in this year contest.

Sora went ahead and nearly scored 46% on Megaman.(Megaman might declined a little bit but still a impressive performance from Sora.)
Riku scored 45% on Yoshi who then proceed to beat Dante in a respectable match.
Axel broke 30% on Megaman.
Auron gave Crono a hellacious fight and had won several updates.

This isn't a KHF.... Aeris has performed like ass, Tifa hasn't done anything crazy, Squall got whooped (granted SFF), the only people KH is benefitting, is, you know, Kingdom Hearts characters. Not silly FF ones.

If good ol' EC stats are up and running correctly, MM/Snake will be 50/50, Sonic/Crono will be 50/50, and the winner of Sonic/Crono will beat the winner of MM/Snake. Just in time to get crushed by Samus.

Sounds great!

You know, the further you adjust Samus up, the further up Rikku has to come, which in turn brings up the rest of the Dream Division, which in turn makes Crono's performance against Bowser look beastly.

Crono > Samus confirmed!

should Auron get this down to 55-56%, we're looking at a Subby worth 28-29% and a MC worth a percent or so less. never woulda expected Sub that high and I was one of his biggest supporters.

Not when you realize Bowser overperformed on Ryu and Ryu/Rikku are the only ones who aren't horrendously overrated in Dream. And this isn't an afterthought by me to make Samus look better either. I've been saying this forever.

At this point it's unclear who the winner of the male bracket will be (just not Mega Man). Snake looks like he's boosted and could easily do it, while Sonic's looking on par with Crono right now. And if Crono's remained constant, Sonic may have this in the bag.

PortugalTheMann | Posted 11/6/2006 8:35:19 AM | message detail
Sonic > Crono relies heavily on Samus being underrated, thus making Ganon stronger, Vincent stronger thanks to DoC/AC, and then Sonic boosting as well. It's a long line to actually follow, hell I'm one of the bigger Samus supporters, but even I'm having a hard time swallowing it. I still think she's underrated, probably just not to the extent I once imagined, certainly enough to at least make her Mario 2K5's equal however.

And counting out MM is just ignorant, you should seriously leave this topic and never come back if you don't think MM still has a shot.

Wow, Auron is really impressing here. Either KH2 boosted him through the roof, or Ganon/Auron/Yuna were underrated last year due to Smaus fishyness. Either way, Crono isn't looking so hot if Ganon was underrated and Vincent boosted through the roof.

On the other hand, this looks a bit better from Mega Man's point of view.

And Tifa overperforming on Samus is pretty much a guarentee now ;__;

Or I was right when I said only new characters in the game and actual KH characters would boost noticeably. This helps explain Yuna's domination of her division a little better too.

I'd take Auron over Sora in a vicious SFF beatdown where Auron would do much better than Mega Man did.

Matches with overlapping fanbases tend to SFF in favour of the cooler character. Which explains Zero/Mega Man

There's not one good thing that comes out of this match for Crono.

1) He dropped in strength.
2) Samus/Ganon/Auron underrated, making Sonic look capable of going 50/50 with him, if not the slight favorite.
3) Auron boosted like crazy from KH2 (lol), Riku already showed he looks a lot stronger, and now that Sora who was extremely unlikeable in the 1st, is a lot better in 2. Has boosted a lot as well, making MM's performance actually look pretty good, and MM has a shot at Crono.

Looks better for Mega Man because Sora's value is looking that much more legit.

Not sure what I was getting at with Tifa/Samus though seeing as how my original point was that Samus was underrated last year. Tifa will still overperform against ZSS

KH2 and AC give Tifa an advantage, especially AC. Also, Tifa's on Disc 2 and 3 of FFVII.

No, I'm not holding it against you. I'm merely saying that Aeris looked bad, and ended up doing bad, and Mega Man looks to be the same. There's nothing wrong with counting Mega Man out.
