Many of the voters located in the US demographic are still up at the
start of the poll. Seeing how the poll is so front loaded, many of what
used to be "afterschool or dayvotes" from the previous poll time are
being cast all up front. Once the frontloaded votes are consumed, it

even if KOS-MOS and Zelda are both at the same point as last year though, Zelda is still only expected to win with 58.8%, ...Wait, what? Zelda 2k5 is expected to get 68.4% on KOS-MOS 2k5...unless I read what you were saying wrong. i know this is from last night, but i was saying that Zelda would be expected to get 58.8% against Aeris if Zelda and KOS-MOS both stayed constant from last year. . --- i have officially been Z1mZum'D in the guru contest. Aeris is at least putting up a fight with this morning vote... but
Zelda already has a 3000 vote lead. Aeris has a good chance to finish

Zelda's certainly doing better here than at night. It looks like the
morning vote is giving Zelda a little over 55% of the vote as opposed
to just under 50%. She did so well in the beginning that she didn't
allow her percentage to get low enough where it's actually improving
significantly, despite receiving much more of the vote currently. Not
sure about the after school vote, but I think 43+ is guaranteed for
Aeris, 44 is likely and even 45 is possible. --- Take off every sig. |

Heh, looks like I spoke too soon. 15 minutes after I post that, and
Zelda starts going on a charge. Very odd that the morning vote would

I'd take Zelda over Tifa, but it would be a hell of alot closer than today's match. Which makes me wonder how Aeris got in in 2k2 and 2k3 but not Tifa. Tifa coulda been an absolute monster back then. | That still baffles me to this day. I always had a
feeling Tifa was the more popular of the two since 2k2. Back then I
only played like a few hours of FF7 so I didn't know too much about it,
but I remebered seeing Tifa all over the place when it came to Final
Fantasy, moreso than Aeris at least. So I was somewhat shocked to see
Aeris in the first two contests. Hell, maybe Tifa could've beaten Sonic

I'm not so sure about that. Zero vs. Sonic was still closer than Aeris vs. Sonic, and Aeris did have KH. Regardless of how the Tifa/Aeris/Vincent debate goes, Zelda vs. Ganon should be settled next round. I'd never noticed before, but Zelda will face Yuna, a character Ganon faced last year! Zelda could've boosted since then, sure, but it'll be interesting to see how they compare. --- 99% of people just make up statistics on the spot. If you are part of the 1%, post this in your sig |

Man Chun Li needs to step up and slap down that overrated fraud Yuna
(no I don't believe she is now near-elite just because she slaughtered
fodder). But of course pre-match it looks even less likely than

Zelda's pulled three 60+ updates out of the last four. Even though we

| I'm still not convinced Zelda is any stronger than
last year, or outperforms Ganon on Samus this year. Match 1) Complete
unknown joke fodder. 2) Complete Fodder that projects her to beat Mario
(halo thar overperformance) 3) Aeris was the biggest turd last round,
and she's looking to be the biggest turd again this round. Hmm... if I
didn't know any better, I'd say Aeris isn't as strong as everyone
thought! She still can outperform Ganon, but if she does it won't be by much, or it'll be because Zelda (series) is up across the boards . --- Portugal. The Man Cheer Up Emo Kids |

The only problem is that we're dealing with an Aeris that 3 years old.
We really don't know where she stands. Basically, you have to have

And FYI, if Zelda breaks 45%, that puts her above the likes of Vincent,
Ganondorf, and most importantly, above the man who 54-46'd her last

And if you boost Zelda by 2% from last year and then use Aeris 2k2,
Zelda is projected to get 56.97% on Aeris. This also puts her equal to
Vincent 2k5 and projects Samus to beat her with about 57%. If there is
any rSFF or whatever in favor of Zelda, it would take practically
nothing to reach 45%, regardless of whether or not it's her actual
strength. But the downplaying of three extremely impressive performances is getting a wee bit ridiculous. It starts out with the whole "It's only fodder she's overperforming on!" and now that she's beating down someone from FFVII who isn't fodder it's "Aeris is just much weaker than before!" I don't know how many times that Zelda has to outperform the stats and expectations before you get everyone acknowledging that she did, in fact, boost and will perform quite well on Samus. --- "Let's face it: the princess Zelda has always been a symbol of sexual desire." |

Now why would Zelda get rSFF on Samus when Ganondorf couldn't (and it's arguable whether or not Ganondorf got SFF'd himself)?
