...Yeah. I just realized that it really doesn't matter where Tifa finishes because of her next round opponent. Anyway, good match tomorrow -- and not because of any potential close match! --- "Let's face it: the princess Zelda has always been a symbol of sexual desire." |

Dpoblivion, I still have some hope for
Aeris, just not much. We've definitely seen bigger upsets than Aeris
over Zelda would be though. That statement might not inspire much
confidence, but it's true. --- www.gamefaqscontests.com www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |

Which makes it more impressive that Crono resisted
Bowser, clearly he can transcend the Nintendo/Square rivalry.
Unfortunately it doesn't explain why his day vote went down the hole. --- Should I start running now? |
Haste_2 | Posted 10/30/2006 9:24:22 PM | message detail |
Eh, Tifa's day vote is pretty bad. It's not Jill-esque, but she didn't do much with it against The Boss. Tifa might be as bad as Jill with the day. The Boss didn't win any of the day vote against Celes, of all characters. Jill lost huge against Sheena after-school, but ToS has a very good day vote...Kratos Aurion stayed even with Diablo. --- Sign the Petition for more stats in the GameFAQs Contests here: http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=7&topic=30693799 |

Aurion stayed even with Diablo. I suppose that's a point. I never really thought about how bad it could be, but I just always recalled Tifa really sucking hard during the day. Aeris is kind of like that too. --- "Let's face it: the princess Zelda has always been a symbol of sexual desire." |

Holy crap, go Peach! She'll almost certainly avoid the doubling. Now
all I hope for is a good Tifa performance on Samus, and both my ladies

Unfortunately, I wouldn't discount Aeris yet. Damn FFXII and all. There are a number of people who got their copies tonight from this board and at the same time, most of them are voting for Zelda still. yeah, cause FF12 would never bring new
people to GameFAQs or anything! that's the whole idea of FF12 helping
out FF characters, not that playing FF12 was going to suddenly make
them like Aeris. that'd be pretty stupid. --- xyzzy |
transience | Posted 10/30/2006 9:43:23 PM | message detail |
oh, and if Zelda doesn't start off with like 60% against Aeris, I'll be
worried for her. between FF7 antivoting, bracket voting and Nintendo
loving, Zelda should clean house to start the poll. --- xyzzy |
Kaxon | Posted 10/30/2006 9:43:24 PM | message detail |
I was really worried about Tifa at the start of this, but it looks like
she's going to manage to recover and perform pretty respectably,
assuming Peach is benefitting from the Nintendo hour. I'm hoping she
can get it over 65% and keep it there... anything less would be a
disappointment in my opinion. --- ....TCELES B HSUP |

And the whole idea of it helping Square characters to any notable effect is just silly. A match result is certainly not going to change thanks to the release. --- "Let's face it: the princess Zelda has always been a symbol of sexual desire." |

...KHF had, oh, I don't know, time to get into full effect and the characters it primarily helped actually were in the game. This is really
not going to create anything remotely close to what KHF did -- and it
did a whopping 2% for Aeris! -- and the characters its supposed to help
aren't even in the game. You'd have to expect Zelda and Aeris to be essentially equals heading into the match in order to think that's going to potentially change the result...and nothing has indicated they're anything close to equals. --- "Let's face it: the princess Zelda has always been a symbol of sexual desire." |

FF12 won't be having a noticeable effect. BT, after hearing you say Frog would get 55% on Sub-Zero if it wasn't
for the new MK game that came out before MC/SZ, I don't want to ever
hear you say FF12 would be a watered-down KHF at best...and I say this
fully knowing Sub-Zero's in the MK game while Aeris isn't in the FF
game. The difference is THAT big... BOLD PREDICTION: Whatever MK:A did for Sub-Zero, FF12 does more for Aeris. Do note that I don't think FF12 ain't going to do much for Aeris, but to say that after the mess you made about Sub-Zero, I just don't even want to hear that. --- http://wemajor12.myrockinprofile.com/ Next celebrity I hope to out-rank: Adam Sandler (#1) |
