I'm not sure what to expect either. I'd expect Rikku to have a pretty
decent day vote...but I don't know about Samus. Both did have weekend
matches last round, and I'm not drawing anything from their Round 1

Meh, I don't think people are giving Rikku enough credit. She's not
overly STRONG, of course, but she's not a chump either. At the very

Poor Samus Aran. The girl has had one bad
loss in her four year contest history, and that seems to be the only
match people remember her for. I'm glad she's spent the past two rounds

That's because Rikku is a chump. If Ryu underperformed in 2005, he did it TWICE. Or maybe Riku overperformed? Some Square characters tend to bandwagon in their first contest appearance. Perhaps she got a one-round bandwagon? I mean, I'd find it really odd for Ryu to actually fall out of grace of a certain vote demographic only to recover the next year.... one-round bandwagon? That sounds like a desperate attempt to try to explain why Ryu wouldn't fall, similar to the whole Mario/Zero SFF craziness that was thrown around here before. I hope very much that you did not just compare Magus to Rikku. And you can explain things away with a bandwagoning 'overperformance' if you like, but an overperformance on one end is an underperformance on another. Bowser and Rikku may have both overperformed on him, but that's an awfully convenient set of coincidences. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

The only thing I'm saying is that this would suggest that Ryu was as
weak as last year indicated, a little weaker thanks to Bowser being a
bit overrated. This year I'm just thinking he either rebounded or he
overperformed on Mega Man for whatever reason (and I'm really leaning

Mega Man is definitely going to look pitiful against Sora though, if
you compare his performance to Solid's...then again, you can do the

Zelda/Mega Man just reeks of Squall/Solid Snake. If you're talking about Mega Man overperforming, I would very much doubt it. much better but won't win" as opposed to "the loser will under-perform
