Zidane should really be nominated again. i doubt he'd be close to
Vivi, but the best main character of any FF game should be given
another chance besides being smashed by Crono. From the little of IX I've glimpsed from my brother playing it, it actually looks like a really great game. Hot and Cold is fantastic, the characters seemed very down to earth and believable, and I don't really understand why it consistently ranks so low, or at least isn't talked about as much as the others. I'd nominate Zidane, and will take this time to ask what happened to the FFVIII ladies or Dagger in the female side? --- Revenge is a dish best served by Z1mZum in the 2k6 Series Guru Contest. |

and I don't really understand why it consistently ranks so low 1. Released at the tail end of the PS lifespan. 2. Released after FFVIII. People don't like to buy the next game in the series if they hated the previous one. Don't get me wrong, I nominated Tron Bonne for the female half, but did so only because it was, y'know, the female half.
If she'd been in Roll's position she'd have been doing good to escape
the quintupling, and the only person I'd probably take her over is Alyx

Maybe thats because the supporting cast in FF8 sucks ... Mans got a point. Except a Seifer, Zell, or even Edea entry would be kinda tight. I still wanna know who Tron Bonne is!!! Anyway, goin' by Crono-Mega Man-Sonic-Vincent-Ganon-Auron (whew) in the past two contests, pre-KH2 Auron's expected to get 40.28% on Crono next round. I still wanna know who Tron Bonne is!!! *sigh* From the Mega Man Legends series, she's an antagonist toward Mega Man that harbors romantic feelings toward him, she's pretty funny and entertaining considering her role. She was also in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (along with Servbot, the robots that she makes to serve her). --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

TuRtLe's Round 2 Awards Most Improved From Round 1 (Male): Gordon Freeman The last free man disappointed against Phoenix in round 1, but showed his Half-Life 2 power by pulling a respectable number on Sora. Most Improved From Round 1 (Female): Samus After stinking it up against Nidoran F, Samus went out and proved that her first round blunder was likely due to Nidoran F's joke power and LUE backing. She's shown herself to be fully capable of winning the bracket and restored alot of faith that some people may have lost after round 1. Biggest Loser (Male): Squall Squall was looking ready to impress against Snake after his ugly beat-down of Tidus in round 1, but he somehow managed to choke it up and prove that his 2k2 match with Snake was no fluke, and that MGS/FF SFF does indeed exist. Biggest Loser (Female): Joanna Dark/Terra Branford/Ada Wong/The Boss All 4 of these lovely ladies managed to get completely blown out, and made their 1 seed opponents look like Clinkeroth. There's really no excuse for the extent that they bombed. Most Impressive (Male): Luigi Luigi makes it past the second round for the first time ever by comfortably beating Kirby and almost certainly proving Dream Division overratedness. Luigi managed to win a fourpack that the board figured would belong to Zero. Next round we'll see if Luigi can act as a Mario proxy against Sonic like Shadow the Hedgehog did against Mario. Most Impressive (Female): Yuna Oddly enough, the most impressive performance on the female side doesn't belong to any of the near elites, but to Yuna, the black sheep of the female 1 seeds, who managed to blow out Joanna Dark almost as badly as Mario did last year, when Joanna had her X-Box 360 launch title in between the matches. Whether or not this is the result of random fodder variation, or some other unseen factor matters not, Yuna is almost guarenteed to win her division in a match that at one point had some debate behind it. And I STILL don't have a clue who Tron Bonne is <_< At any rate, Zidane doesn't deserve another shot because he sucks. Vivi gets the iconic Black Mage votes and the votes from him being the only member of his cast that doesn't suck. Kuja got beat by a freaking hand, so we all know how few people like him or his game. Face the facts, outside of Board 8, FF8 is much preferred. As for Rinoa not making the female bracket, keep in mind that aside from Squall, the only other half-decent member of the FF8 cast is Laguna. TuRtLe ~~~ 55/62 in the contest. And I like Squall, but it's like the stats topic is posting comments on
how hot he is and how much they want to ride his throbbing wang in his
Myspace profile. Not that I have a problem with half the stats topic being gay, of course, but you don't see people verbally wangsterbating to Samus or Tifa or Aeris here the extent you see the stats posters lusting over Squall's emo exterior. Some of you Squall fans shouldn't be afraid to come out. I won't change my opinion about you; you're still annoying whether gay or straight, but at least you'll feel better about yourself.
