GameFAQs isn't a "Vote video games over everything!" site, you know. I
can't believe you'd even bring up Carmen Sandiego, even knowing it's a

James Bond's performance in IGN's contest just perplexes me...he got edged out by freaking Aragorn, which is pathetic considering where he ended up. Of course, that's just more fuel for my skepticism of the legitimacy of the results of the first place, not to mention that these polls averaged far less votes than the average contest poll here. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

Right, but Carmen still only got half the amount of votes that most of
us thought she'd get. My relation to that is that we may be
over-estimating the rest of these characters in the same way. I agree
it's not a vote-games-over-all situation, but you better believe they

I wouldn't expect him to be the favorite, but he's got the most solid
base from video games and his movies are rather popular too. He's a
classic as well, so all of that would make him a hell of a competitor.

Yes, they'd have the edge, but still, you're talking about legends like
Vader, Batman, and Spider-Man (Batman and Spidey have their fair share
of video games, mind you). Carmen was never very popular at any point

I'd take Tanner over George W. Bush. He'd be the ultimate anti-vote magnet. Peter Griffin could probably destroy some opponents, and I could see Cartman being near-elite as well. We need to nominate JFK from that game where you reinact his assassination. He'd be fodder, but it'd be hilarious to see him lose to someone like Bazooka Joe. I'm just stressing with her that we easily over-rated her against a
traditional video game character, and that we shouldn't be so quick to
expect so much against the top video game characters, Sparrow or not. More stuff. Richard Hatch would likely be a midcarder, perhaps a bit lower. I actually think he could avoid the reality TV anti-votes. Gandalf would probably also be a midcarder. Gollum would be the next Tingle. Spongebob Squarepants could go either way. He could have actual strength, or he could be the next Pikachu (lol yellow SFF). Trogdor would be low fodder, but it'd still be fun to get him in. Too bad duos aren't allowed, like Jay & Silent Bob or Beavis & Butthead, as they'd bomb separate while potentially having some strength together (though still likely nothing above high fodder). I wonder how well John Locke from Lost would do. I'm sure Heroes would be popular enough by the contest for Hiro to kick ass as well. I'd laugh if Lucy Ricardo made it. You think the kids are too young for Archie Bunker to have any strength? How about Earl or Steve Carrell's character from The Office? How would they fair? How interesting...if Crono and Sonic remained constant from last year,
it would probably mean the Bowser/Ganondorf proportion against
Sephiroth in Sp2K5 was actually accurate. I actually used that idea to
estimate how over-rated Bowser was last year (many other things
influenced that decision, as well), and that's how Bowser is turning
out. Of course, then Mega Man should've gotten like 64% on Ryu, not

...Thinking back to Sephiroth/Bowser/Ganon, at first I figured that
Ganon had to have been SFF'd by Samus. But now...yep, it makes sense.

Jack Thompson VS Tingle, baby! I think George and Kramer would be near-elites, maybe even N9 level. How about all the old and current Nickeloden and Cartoon Network stars? Stimpy may put up a fight. Think the T-Rex from Jurassic Park could win a match? My movie knowledge pales in comparison to my TV knowledge, so I don't know any other popular movies the GameFAQs crowd would love. Maybe the guy from You Got Served? Especially if his match pic involves forehead-sliding. I wonder how one of Lindsay Lohan's characters would do. I also wonder if Paris Hilton would get even more anti-votes than Bush. Steve Irwin would probably be pretty high in strength due to his death. Bill Nye might have a chance as well. Brock Sampson may do well also. Maybe Master Shake as well. Think anyone from Friends could do decent? Oh yeah, The Fonz. I think he could be a midcarder. Bill Nye held a speech in Knoxville not too long ago to talk about alternative fuels (I unfortunately couldn't make it due to theatre-obligations)...but I've never seen so many people go crazy for somebody as odd to go crazy for as him. Hell, I know the man who actually started "The Wave" there before he came on stage! I take MC's "natural value" to be someone he'd have a close match with,
like Frog or Sub now. he'll over or underperform on people that are
significantly stronger or weaker than him, but he's clearly right next
to Sub-Zero is strength right now. that's about the only way to get an
