Unless you think XS3 really had a big impact, KOS-MOS is the biggest indicator of an Aeris drop.

So perhaps it's best to wait for Zelda/Aeris...if Aeris can't even put up a fight despite FFXII coming out the day of the match, or even keep it respectable, it'll look bad for Mega Man.

Identity, smidentity. I love Don to death and I know he'd be the weakest of the four here. He's got the least cool weapon and is a total brainiac. The only thing he's really got going for him is that there's simply no one on his level in the TMNT games, particularly the first one.

I dunno. Growing up, we ALL liked Donatello. I don't recall Raph having many fans at all growing up, although he certainly was liked. But there were always plenty of Leo, Mikey, and Don fans. And it's not like Raph kicked ass in the video games either. It might not be by a lot, but I still think that Don is more popular than Raph... at least from what I've noticed growing up.

Meh, are we really talking about Ninja Turtle popularity? On a side note, I'm still pissed they didn't get in the series contest.

After catching up on most of the happenings since last night, I was struck with the hilarious picture of HM playing through KH2, seeing a FF character do something awesome and yelling out "OH MAN AURON IS GOING TO DOMINATE SC2K5 BOWYEE."

One more thing I have to throw out there. If these % hold up, Bowser is only projected to beat Ryu with 52% of the vote, and considering in 2K4 Bowser was only supposed to beat Ryu with 51.5% of the vote (I actually had Ryu in my bracket for a while last year, before switching to Bowser), it makes my Bowser overperformed on both Ryu & Snake argument look even better. This will all become extremely apparent when Yuna curbstomps Chunners next round, even though Chunners will have reason to be overrated, it will be even worse than anyone expects. (Samus > Zelda with 61%)

Doesn't matter in the games/series contest. We've seen the Simpsons and Goldeneye 007 in the games contest. I'm pretty sure that TMNT would have been fair game for the series contest.

Hmm... I dunno about non-game-originated series being eligible. Games are one thing, since it's just one game, but I don't know if Ceej would have allowed, say, Star Wars or DBZ in the series. Something specific like "the KOTOR series" or "the Budokai series," maybe, but I'm not sure about whole series like "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." Dunno.

I'm convinced that these matches could have virtually any result and EC would use it as proof that he was somehow right about something all along.

Sub-Zero does well tomorrow? "Well I told you all KHF doesn't exist!"
Sub-Zero does poorly? "Well I told you all that Sub-Zero was a chump and MC underperforming + MKA was the only reason he won!"

Funny you mention that! If Squall would have performed well on Snake "KH2F!!" and then last night I see a post by you actually using Squall's performance on Snake to note KH2F. Oh KH!

And I don't know what you're really saying, last night I was calling for Crono with 57%, it looks like he'll be finishing pretty damn close to there.

My prediction puts Crono around this mark, too. However, our interpretations of the events are VASTLY different, and as far as I'm concerned yours just don't sync up. Ryu 2003 is still something you have yet to explain or even come to terms with.

As of right now (57.46%), Bowser ends up right around 31.12% on Link 2k5, which only makes Bowser overrated by 1.37% from last year. That's much more reasonable than what we were seeing him at (Luigi 2k5). This also puts Leon Kennedy at around 28% on Link 2k5, a nice 3% boost from RE4.

Ryu is totally the new MC. I don't think Crono boosting for absolutely no reason exactly has more credence than holy bowser overration. Plus that still leaves a big problem with Frog 2004, which is even more odd than Ryu 03.

The thing is, at this point Bowser isn't really overrated by THAT much, unless you want to say that Crono dropped. Certainly nowhere near what Frog would imply.

Going by that, given a half-decent picture for Snake I don't think Yoshi is going to be doing much impressing next round.

Well I've been thinking Bowser has been overrated by 2% or so, which if Crono stays around here, or increases a bit is pretty reasonable. I'm not calling for Yoshi to actually beat Snake... I don't know why everyone insists on believing I was serious about that. Hell I didn't even just say anything about that. All I said was Peach > Chunners, which everyone gave me an insane amount of **** for saying pre-contest.

And yeah, I found the post where I thought you said that, but you were actually pointing out a flaw in an argument.

You would think that, because you don't have a soul. If Frog can get 48%, and Frog beat Riku, and Yoshi beat Riku better than Frog, than, clearly, Yoshi over Snake is a distinct inevitablity.

The thing is, Magus and Frog obviously overperform with sprites. It's how Frog did so well on Snake (combined with Solid ****), and Magus got 35% on Link. Yoshi, not so much.

But haven't the only times we've seen Yoshi's sprite been in two SFF matches? (Link 2004, Mega Man 2005) Not sure if there was room for overperformance there or not.

Still, he seems to do just fine without sprites. Magus and Frog seems to need sprites to be really strong.

Chun-Li shoudn't be overrated by *that* much either though...and if Bowser overperformed on Ryu, what's to stop him from doing the same to Chun-Li? Peach certainly hasn't done anything to prove herself yet, unless you think barely beating a character who was skirting the fodder line in her last appearance is impressive. Both have looked uninspiring so far.

If Bowser is overrated 2% in the stats, then Chunners should be a little more overrated than that in the stats, which puts her nearly equal with Jill 2K4. All I said was the hope of Peach > Chunners lives on, not that it was a lock. And if Bowser overperformed on Chunners too, then it wouldn't be a Bowser overperformance, it would be a Bowser underperformance against Kirby, and Crono would be looking damn good right now. I personally don't believe that, and there's no way to say which one is right, both ways bring up flaws using past years stats.

I'm pretty sure that both Raphael and Michaelangelo would be stronger than Leonardo. Not sure where Donatello would be, but I don't see why people are expecting him to be the weakest.

Overall it seems like predictions on Turtle strength are really split, so they'd probably be pretty close to each other.

I think Shredder would be stronger than Splinter. I think each of the Turtles would be stronger than Splinter, and I'm not sure whether Shredder would be stronger or weaker than the Turtles.

Out of the supporting characters I think Casey Jones would do best. Everyone else would likely be pretty weak.

Good, Bowser's still gaining. It looked like Crono was putting a stop to that with more frequent 60% updates, but Bowser is responding. The voting trend is really volatile right now, at least by 5-min updates.

Bowser is not gaining at all.he is just slowing crono,thus lowering his %

it's funny to see people saying crono is horrible at the day vote when,in fact, there are very few characters who could actually WIN the day vote over him.

Will Sonic VS Crono tell us who's stronger between Bowser and Ganondorf?

If Sonic wins, then Ganondorf is stronger. If Crono wins, then doesn't that match have to be ridiculous close for Ganondorf to still be stronger than Bowser?

Obviously I'm not that good with the X-stats.

Crono beating Sonic doesn't change anything unless Crono wins by more than he's projected to. Ganon is currently stronger than Bowser based on a constant Sonic and constant Crono.
