What, exactly, was it that made people think that Vincent would actually win? Would win? Nothing. Vincent has always been the underdog in this match. Still, there was enough evidence that an upset could potentially occur that we couldn't exactly rule out the possibility. |

guess we'll have to settle for MM/Snake and hope Snake went up that

It could still happen. Mega Man has at least a 50% shot at Snake, and
that's being generous to Snake. And Sonic is impressing, he definitely
could take down Crono, though I'd say Crono is still the favorite. --- If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Then try to find someone whose life has given them vodka. |

Sonic could very well face Sephiroth in the Battle Royale, though
should he make it that far there's no chance he'll get to the finals.
The best he can hope for is a 5-way with Sephiroth......that sounds

But hilarious moreso is Vincent being outperformed on Sonic by Luigi. Sure, he has to go through Kirby first (and a Kirby taking up nearly the entire pic for that matter), but if he can survive that he might go Shadow on Sonic's ass and pull a surprising result. The male sprite pics should be a lot better simply by virtue of having
more old-school characters - of Snake/Yoshi, Mega Man/Sora,
Sonic/Luigi(Kirby), and Crono/Auron, only Snake and Auron don't have
good looking sprites. It just so happens that the newer FF females -
sans Aerith - look terrible, and they account for a spot in 3 of the
matches. I think Ceej should abandon the sprite "round" and just use sprites when the matchup calls for it - Mega Man/Ryu, for instance, would make a great Hadouken/Charge Shot sprite pic. --- Mustache...and green... http://www.rit.edu/~zmb0386/Top100.pdf |

Zelda's sprite is hardly a disadvantage. Picture factor has always been
about recognizability, and Zelda's certainly recognizable. --- 99% of people just make up statistics on the spot. If you are part of the 1%, post this in your sig |

I personally love sprites. they're awesome pictures if used right. I'll admit that not everyone has a good sprite though, especially as we get to newer and newer characters. I'd love old Nintendo/Square characters in sprite form, but past that it really shouldn't be done. and sprite Zelda/Peach is just bad. --- xyzzy |

Come now, for as bad as any of those sprite round pics may look, they're still better than Auron's pic for this round. --- If this post was overly verbose, that means I tried very hard to not call you an idiot. If you mark someone for flaming/trolling, you probably deserved it. |
