I don't think Snake being in a SSB trailor is suddenly making him a
part of the Nintendo fanbase if they've never played his games before.
If he's up against fodder, or characters who aren't exactly mainstream,
I'd say he could overperform because people who are indifferent to both
of them could say "Oh hey it's that new guy in SSBB" and vote for him.
But when he's up against someone like Squall, from the 2nd biggest FF
game, it's kind of hard for me to believe a simple trailor is going to
make people want to vote him over Squall. People seem to forget that all the excitement about Snake being in SSBB comes from Snake fans who would love to see him in the game, not from SSB fans who want some guy they are indifferent to being added. --- Portugal. The Man Cheer Up Emo Kids |

I see people on SSBB forums every day that talk about how they've
picked up an MGS game to learn about Solid Snake. There's no doubt in
my mind that a hell of a lot of people picked up the Earthbound games
to see what they were thanks to Ness. A simple trailer for Snake isn't any more of a stretch than a simple trailer for Link in 2k4 or a simple cameo for Cloud in 2k3 -- oh wait, EC doesn't believe in KHF!!! *points and laughs at EC* --- *kills self Commit it to memory. |

I just realized that it's possible for the male finals to be a close
match (not HIGHLY likely, but still possible). Wouldn't it be funny
watching the analysis crew trying to predict Samus/whatever when it's
still unclear who her opponent will even be? Not to mention it'd be a
pain for CJay as well.. --- Gordon Freeman finally won, but somehow, the universe survived... thus allowing me to tell said universe about how I was owned by NClark128. |

Vincent is winning quite a few updates here. He's definitely probven
himself to be a potential noble nine breaker if given the right match.
I'm actually tempted to say that he's capable of beating megaman this
year, but I'll let megaman have at least one more match before judging

Extremely nice show from Vincent here. He definitely proved he has plenty of strength in these contest here. I can officially concede on the Devil Division being overrated -- but it doesn't matter since Ganondorf is actually above 2003 levels at this point !! --- The Master Sword is the most sought-after blade in Hyrule. He who wields it carries with him the hope of the kingdom. |

2k5 stats are likely a tad inflated in my mind anyway, and we still
need to see how Sonic does later on. For all we know Hybrid CATS =~

More games come out every year. I firmly believe that the field as a whole should get stronger ever year, relative to BL. Explicit Content's Fantabulous Contest Analysis: I've only done two of these for this contest so far, and both times I owned faces off. The only logical conclusion to draw from this? That I'm obviously going to be dead goddamn on again. Tradition, it just doesn't enjoy being broken folks. I could talk about how strong Kirby must be after rocking PoP like that, or how pathetic Luigi is after that pitiful showing with Zero, but instead, I'll give you a few words of advice. I will say that while I'm scared of Luigi in this match -- much like I
was scared of Knuckles > Squall in 2005 -- every time I look at that
match picture it just fills me with a great feeling. Kirby just fills
THE WHOLE DAMN SCREEN THERE. Another match where there's no real excuse for the character I'm backing if they lose. I hope this doesn't establish a pattern... --- *kills self Commit it to memory. |
