MM was a good game, but wasn't anywhere near as good as OoT. And the first person to say that WW was better than either of them is crazy.

SUPERIOR gameplay and SUPERIOR dungeon design and SUPERIOR use of items. lolcwutididthur

The Stone Tower Temple is the only one that has a superior design to most of OoT. The others are nowhere near as good as the Adult Link temples.

And that's one of the reasons it's nowhere near as good, though very good in its own right because Zelda games aren't bad. <<

You mean all. Best level in any game ever.

And one of them is Great Bay Temple

Which is what a good Water Temple would have been if you weren't stuck going into the menu every time you wanted to go somewhere.

The dungeons in Majora's Mask paled in comparisan to OoT's. The only one that comes close is the Stone Tower Temple.

"SUPERIOR gameplay"

More like the same gameplay with a different world pasted over the original OOT game data.

"and SUPERIOR dungeon design"

Not really. And Nintendo spent all of the budget and resources on just those four dungeons, and then decided to add two littler filler dungeons before Stone Tower for good measure. Stone Tower was awesome, but the rest didn't come close to the likes of Forest Temple or Fire/Spirit Temple.

"and SUPERIOR use of items. lolcwutididthur"

Lol screen full of masks where half of them didn't do anything useful.

The Water Temple put the Great Bay Temple to shame. One does not talk about Great Bay when they're talking about great dungeon design.

I've tiraded against OoT and for MM more times than I can remember, but suffice it to say that MM actually had good and engrossing dungeons. OoT's one decent dungeon is the Forest Temple, and even that is overrated. Child Link dungeons are outright awful, Fire Temple is a sleepwalk, Shadow Temple is overly dark and meandering, Spirit Temple has the same problems as Fire Temple, and the Water Temple? The Push Start/Iron Boots ad nauseum schtick makes it one of the worst levels I've played in any game, ever.

OoT was downright painful to play at times, and I'll take a shorter game that outdoes it on every level. Quality over quantity, as usual.

Pressing one button to move around > menu-hopping. Sorry, but Great Bay whips the Water Temple's ass for that fact alone. And I meant actual items, not the masks.

And since I'm now dealing with a bunch of OOT psychos (who are about as reasonable as anime fans), I'm off to do something far better than posting on this place. I'll just note that I like OOT a lot better than MM, so don't accuse me of being biased --- but how people can't concede that MM is designed a lot better is just beyond me. Even the little details like the maps or how the items looked when Link was holding them were done better in MM. All OOT really has on MM is the soundtrack and better boss fights.

All of OOTs dungeons being terrible and MMs four dungeons being better is just your misguided opinion. I could do like forty pages going over every single detail of both games, walking through both at the same time step by step, and explaining at each and every step why OOT is better. Especially when Nintendo already did OOT first and then went into MM already knowing what they did and concentrating on a short game with four dungeons. But you know what? That still wouldn't convince the people who think MM is better because their whole argument isn't really about how great MM is but about how overrated OOT is.

MM's boss fights were extremely awesome, but OoT had a number of better fights (Volvagia, Bongo Bongo, Ganon, etc.). Still, that's one of the highlights of MM, I think. Its dungeon design, however, is not.

The entire reason I liked Great Bay so much is because of all the waterfall freezing and the swimming. I'm a water whore, always have been. I'm the whacko you'd see out walking in a thunderstorm or something.

But yeah, items are given more attention in MM overall.

OoT had a number of better fights (Volvagia, Bongo Bongo, Ganon, etc.)

I believe mnm put it best when he described Volvagia as a glorified Whack-A-Mole game. Bongo Bongo was sort of neat, but only because he recalled some of the frantic nature the bosses in LttP had (and that OoT sorely lacked).

And Ganon may very well be one of the worst final bosses in any game. It's all atmosphere.

Volvagia was awesome. I loved the latter part of the battle where the rocks are falling down and you have to avoid them while still hitting Volvagia. Call it a "glorified Whack-A-Mole" if you want, but it's still damn good -- and much more enjoyable than some of the bosses I can name in MM.

And Ganon may very well be one of the worst final bosses in any game. It's all atmosphere.

Both forms of Ganon, while not terribly difficult, were very awesome. Atmosphere does play a big role in that, of course, but the actual battle itself wasn't bad at all.
