Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
http://sc2k5.com/drupal/node/11

Simple Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
A = Strongest Character
B = Character Weaker than A
C = Character Weaker than B
To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

Assuming Freeman is constant from last year, Sora would be pegged roughly equal to Tidus 2k5. Of course, there's still the day vote to boost Sora through the roof, but that's where he stands now.

So, by the tried and true process of extrapolation, it looks like Phoenix Wright would get around 10000% against Sora.

Sora is following the path of Tidus. He's slowly declining through the years, while Riku and Kairi continue to do great and prove that no one likes Sora and Tidus.

If Sora doesn't win the day vote here, like he couldn't against Tingle, I'll lose all hope in him.

Sora's looking pretty all right here, he stopped bleeding percentage and the morning cometh. I'd say it's likely he'll get up to 65% with the day vote unless his day vote is weaker than the other KH characters' for some reason. looking back, Leon gained about 2-3% on him once morning hit and Leon is probably average during the daytime. if Sora is above average (like he should be) he could really beat down Freeman with the afterschool vote.

Xuxon | Posted 10/24/2006 3:46:00 AM | message detail
Keep in mind this is a textbook example of the poll time affecting things. GF was getting higher than the 38.63% peak throughout the night, just his total percentage is that low because of the opening hour or so. Even the next two hours hurt the ability for swings; the more votes there are, the more votes you need to affect the current percentage.

So if Leon could swing 3% then, he really wouldn't now. If you compared his peak incoming votes vs his bottom, that would be similar, and you'd expect the differece in Sora's to be higher, but it could very well be a total swing of less than 3%, or not much more.

Really, the main thing is that characters have more polarized day/night swings during school days, I think. That's why Sora could swing significantly more than 3%.

I think this is proof that Freeman is just not very linear. I think Lopen first suggested this idea - the stronger Freeman's opponents are, the better he looks.

Why is everyone suddenly getting credit for MY ideas?

And it looks like my initial projections of Gordon from my stats aren't going to be far off, after all.

By making the universe implode last round, Gordon has transformed into ULTRAGORDON, so he is now able to resist KH's morning and, more importantly, after-school vote.

I don't know,let's judge by Leon getting 58% on Gordon last contest.
If the last contest took place before HL2,then Sora is doing fine
If it took place after HL2,then Sora is disappointing

Assuming Sora ends at about 64%, he would be projected to beat last year's Leon with over 56%. That's better than what Bowser did this year. Factoring in Leon's PS2 release boost of course, they're not the same. But still, come on.

Yeah, it's not like Phoenix Wright not being fodder or Gordon looking like a midcarder when this is all said and done should surprise ANYONE.

Well, based on what we have now, Phoenix Wright is still fodder, and Gordon is about as much as a midcarder as Kefka.

That doesn't exactly set off any red flags for me. It's not that unbelievable.

Yeah, where Phoenix lands is my biggest gripe with today...but then again, Phoenix got closer to Gordon than I first expected, too, and Phoenix DID get more votes than he has sales...

...hell, I'd say Phoenix has that small-but-dedicated fanbase before I would say Gordon does.
