It's really weird how the first 45 minutes or so of every match seems
to have a consistently more "hardcore gamer" vote demographic going for
it. Or at least a very different one. --- When D... I'd be able to finish this sig if Z1mZum didn't own me so hard in the guru contest. Congrats on your victory! |

Yeah, I'm not feeling a contest classic out of this one. Yoshi is still
doing reasonably well here, and he'll only do better during the day.
Dante should do very well and make this reasonably close...but that's

This match picture probably crossed that fine line in terms of giving
one character a clear advantage...but eh, I didn't think Yoshi would
even be close and I doubt it'll end up close enough to make anyone

Then again, vincent and dante both performed impressively last
round, and squall sff'd the hell out of tidus to the point where we had
no read on him. As horrible as this seems for Squall... He did turn around 16% points in a rematch with an opponent from 4 years ago. Squall has gotten stronger over the years, yes it was obvious but as a fan I have to find something to stay positive about. He also destroyed Tidus... given most of it was SFF... he still did it... which gives him strength within his companies characters... which is more than say... Samus has. Squall is a character on the cusp... every year... doing a little more than we expect... but not enough to impress on a grand scale... coming so close to Vincent and getting one update win on Snake are not morale victories to hang your hat on... they piss you off even more... tempting you and teasing you with the possibility... Blame the bracket, blame PS SFF, blame not enough nominations... but it sucks as a fan to see him so close to doing something really impressive... and failing. This result puts a damper on the tournament for me, I expected more. I dont want to speculate about SFF with Snake... good luck finding the right spot for him in the rankings at the end guys... Based on his two numbers... he is as strong as Link in one match and as a weak as Knuckles in the other... Your work is cut out for you... and wherever he ends up... you are going to be criticized... so make your chance. ^_~ My heart is out of this tournament... KB --- I admit, Kyle Bowen's Social Bar and Lounge was the worst series of topics ever. Also, I hate Shadow Hearts.-10/21-10/28 |

Even if Yoshi was behind SFF every year, going by Laharl/Pac-Man/Conker
puts him under Dante last year, and Dante's directly done better on Ryo
before than Yoshi too. Dante last year beats any value you give Yoshi
unless you base him off of Luigi or maybe Bowser. Hmm...using Dante 2k5, Luigi 2k5, and adjusting Yoshi based on his
match with Luigi in 2004, Yoshi is projected to win this match with
52.43% of the vote. The thing is...that projects him to beat Zelda, and I'm not quite ready to accept a result like that. Of course, he will have a common opponent next round... --- *kills self Commit it to memory. |

I need this win to both survive in the Guru contest and to have a

we all expected POP to roll over to Kirby's beastly day vote and it
didn't happen. some people expected Bowser to take it to Leon during
the day and that didn't happen either. Dante's probably not a beast,
but neither is Yoshi. now that the early vote is over, Dante is looking
to do better and better as the night goes on. when it hits daytime,
it's anyone's game - probably Yoshi, but I wouldn't say it's a sure
thing since he's never dominated anybody of note in the daytime. --- xyzzy |
