That's because the poll times switched in that second update there.

If dante falls apart like jill did with the after school vote this
won't even be close. I have a feeling that he'll manage to keep it

Well, it'll still be close. Jill had a 1400 lead, and even with how
badly she fell apart, that practically ended in a tie. At this point, I
have a hard time seeing Yoshi win with more than 1800 votes. --- ertyu and VeghEsther are truly proof that there is much about this world we still do not understand. |

Dante is a little more contemporary and more popular than Jill
Valentine, but Yoshi is much more popular than Peach. What the
significance of each may mean is unknown, but I would venture to guess
that it gives Yoshi a stronger advantage in the after-school than Peach
had on Jill. Yoshi might need that great advantage judging by the votes

Dante's day vote will hold up better than Jill's. No way would he
squander a 1400 lead but then again, he won't get a 1400 lead. I think
he needs to get around 750 or so in front for it to be a close finish

Where I live (US Central time zone), the after-school vote kicks in
around 2:00-2:30 PM. That translates to about 8:00-8:30 PM in Britain,

It's really more about three hours until the after school vote's in
full swing, imo. I'm not going to check, but I recall people saying
Peach was dead when nothing much was happening from 2:30 - 3, but after
3 and toward 3:30 is when she really got going. --- Revenge is a dish best served by Z1mZum in the 2k6 Series Guru Contest. |

At any rate, Yoshi likely won't take it from Dante like Peach took it
from Jill. I just hope Dante can tear ass in the next few hours, and

So realistically he has 28 updates before the Yoshi tide begins. In
that time he has to cut down an 173 lead and build a lead of his own. At the minute he's gaining 25 or so per update. Assuming he carries on like that until the school vote kicks in, that gives him a lead of 527. I don;t think that will be enough nor do I think he'll keep it at a constant 25 so it'll probably be less of a lead than that. --- Contest Score: 47/50 Todays Pick: Dante |

Wow. I didn't realize that Dante didn't even get much of a lead during the night. He elad for a grand total of seven
updates and the biggest lead he had was 35. Yoshi looks like he's been
in complete control of the match from the beginning, even with it being

extreme version of the morning vote? Keep in mind that Yoshi won the

Meh, he's got a couple of hours to make up 100 votes. I'm sure he'll
take something of a lead, but Yoshi is going to decimate him later. And even if Yoshi isn't out of sight (like less than 800 votes or something) by the time the after-school vote is well and truly done...Dante sucked so much early on in this match that I'm struggling to find a scenario in which Yoshi loses... Man, watching this entire topic go on and on and on about how Yoshi was
going to bury Dante with the day vote was irritating because there was
really nothing pointing to it other than "Yoshi's Nintendo!" Honestly, folks, Nintendo is morning vote, not day vote, and even then, Yoshi didn't do all that well. Compared to what Sheena did to Jill, Peach sucked with the after school vote. She could barely build any sort of lead. Yoshi may win, but he is not running away with the day vote by any stretch of the imagination. Watching the entire stat topic devoted to Yoshi winning based on trends when he's barely winning at all?
