nothing points to Yoshi either. people assume Yoshi is good with the
day vote because he's a Nintendo character. people who are good with
the day vote don't lose 2-3% vs. someone else who is good with the day

And with regard to having overperformances on fodder... Do you guys really think it means nothing at all? Tifa does it against Vyse and ranks a percent above Aeris. Luigi does it against KOS-MOS and ranks 6% above where he was before. Samus does it against Lara and Sam Fisher and goes on to break 40% on Cloud. Is it really just a coincidence that all of these characters who have "random" overperformances end up looking great? --- 99% of people just make up statistics on the spot. Assuming this holds (which I'm admittedly worried may not happen), this
is impressive as all hell from Yoshi. NOTHING pointed to him winning

I think all the energy spent arguing about SFF could have been better
used debunking the myth of a supposed second Nintendo boost! (oh wait
it's been debunked already >_>) I'm loathe to judge matches this quickly into them, but Dante's not looking too hot here! --- This was Ed Bellis. |

Have you not seen the opponents he's lost the day vote to? no.. examples, please? looking back, he went even with Vincent, lost 1% to Ryu Hayabusa (xbox) and 1% to Sonic. compare that to Yoshi who just lost something like 2.5% to Riku (don't feel like looking) - how is Yoshi completely superior to Dante here? --- xyzzy |

By the end of the hour, at this rate, Yoshi will be pushing 1000 votes.
1 am has usually been when the "first hour" vote wears off and the true

Pffft, I was bringing it up before there was any evidence of it We all, or at least a good portion of us, were pretty much thinking there would be another Nintendo Boost before the contest even started. It made sense after Nintendo's dominant E3 showing and LoZ winning in the Series Contest...but we don't need to cling to it desperately. It's apparent that there is not another big Nintendo boost this year. Certain characters look stronger and others don't exactly look so hot. It's fair to assume certain characters boosted and others didn't until we have evidence to prove otherwise. There's little reason to constantly keep bringing up the Nintendo Boost as if it's clear that there is another. --- The Master Sword is the most sought-after blade in Hyrule. Yoshi > Snake! Well, Yoshi does have some damn good sprites. I don't even think he has any crappy ones, since he debuted in the SNES era. Well I doubt Yoshi will run away with it in the day, Dante is hardly
going to dominate either. They'll most likely go 50/50 meaning Dante

beat up fodder and near fodder with the best of em, but folds whenever
